James Harden thanks God for letting him play for the Clippers which is a situation that allows him to compete for a title while being close to his friends, family and formerly sick mother who is now cancer-free, per @MarcJSpears:

Harden told Andscape that his mother, who lives in Los Angeles, had cancer while he was playing for Philadelphia. The good news is his mother is now cancer-free, a source told Andscape. Harden can see his mother and other loved ones much more easily now that he is back home.
