We’re such a weird fanbase. Phish discover something amazing and we’re like, “Wow!!! That was insane! I saw God and they were like, ‘Not even I could do that!’ “We just have one request. Never ever play that again.”

I'm so old, that I remember when people were making this kind of joke about January, but I can no longer remember what exactly was so bad about that month any more. Seems like good times now.

I wish the Phish webcasts were priced more as a splurge thing. "Oh I'm home. What the heck. $10." Once it hit $25, it feels like more of a commitment, especially as part of a long tour.

I’m pissed I didn’t think of this on my own but the amazing @zzbenz pointed out that Ruby>Fuego is Phish for Scarlet > Fire. They’re synonyms.

My one biggest complaint about how the jambands scene has evolved once it forked away from the Grateful Dead influences is how much it has embraced hyper capitalism. Scalping tickets, buying posters to flip, that sort of behavior was beyond the pale and now it’s kind of normal.

Next on Phish Radio is the debut of our reality series. He’s a new fan whose favorite song is Bouncing. She’s a jaded vet who won’t even listen to a jam until it’s crossed the 15 minute mark. We sent them out on tour together. Will their relationship survive?

So one thing to imagine. Suppose it's late May. We bend the curve. Things start to reopen. Phish announce that summer tour will, in fact, be on. We're at Eugene. Lights go out. This may not happen, but that moment would be one of the best since Hampton 2009.

The crowd went insane during SANTOS which itself was surreal, seeing 30k+ people singing and pumping fists for a song that’s under a year old and has no commercial release. But then it inspired Trey to go off and take an amazing solo. It’s so much fun to watch that feedback loop.

Happy 40th anniversary to the first Phish show! We're in the scene so it feels normal for a band to last this long, but - especially with just the one lineup change way back in 1985 - this really is an amazing feat to still be playing, and playing full length interesting shows

Tonight is an important night for me personally. It's my 500th show. Not my 500th Phish mind you but my 500th if you combine the 81 Grateful Dead shows I have seen [1] and Phish. I realized that I was getting close and since the venue I have seen the most shows of both bands

I'll just say this as my closing thoughts about the show: 1) Phish jams like a hike on an unknown trail. We start walking and maybe it'll go somewhere cool or maybe we'll get inspired to jog it, or maybe it'll turn out to be blocked and we'll cut it short...
