Jeff announced an update to liquidations on Hyperliquid (testnet), here is what changed: 1. If a position over $100k is liquidatable, only 20% of it will be liquidated first instead of the entire position at once, giving traders a chance to recover rather than losing their full position. 2. After a partial liquidation happens, there’s a 30sec cooldown before another liquidation can happen. If the trader adds margin or the market moves in their favor, they avoid further liquidation. If the trader is still in trouble, the next liquidation will remove everything. 3. Since liquidations are sent directly to the order book (instead of going through a centralized clearing system like CEXs), this system ensures: - Less slippage for large liquidations - More opportunity for other traders to bid on liquidated positions - Unlike CEXs, there’s no clearance fee so liquidated users only lose what’s necessary to cover their losses. Jeff just announced an improvement to the HyperEVM, here’s what it means for those of us that don’t speak his nerdy language: Normally blockchains have to pick between fast but small blocks (good for quick transactions) or big but slow blocks (good for complex transactions like deploying contracts). HyperEVM now does both at the same time by having two types of blocks: - Fast blocks (every 2 seconds, small size) - Slow blocks (every 1 minute, big size) This means users get faster confirmations, while developers get more room for complex transactions, no need to sacrifice one for the other. Hyperliquid.
Those of you in the old school who thought Jeff would just fork Reth for HyperEVM could not be more wrong. Hyperliquid's latest innovation is a dual-block EVM. Smaller txs (1M gas limit) can be done with 2s block times while larger txs (30M gas limit) take the longer 1m blocks.

Hyperliquid Labs submitted official comment letters to the U.S. CFTC about two key topics: - Perpetual derivatives - 24/7 trading 🧠 Why Did They Do It? - Educate regulators about how onchain perps and 24/7 markets already work safely and transparently - Prove that Hyperliquid’s model can meet or exceed TradFi standards - Push for principles-based regulation that encourages innovation rather than killing it with outdated classifications 📌 What They Told the CFTC: - Liquidations are automatic and happen on every price update - No weekend risk gaps — prices and margin update continuously - Resilient due to decentralized validators - Auditable in real time — anyone can run a node and verify everything - Built-in transparency → sub-second onchain audit trails - Smart contract composability → devs can build on top of perps - Self-custody → users hold their own assets, not a CEX - Call for flexible, risk-focused regulation — not rigid rules that kill innovation 🇺🇸 Why It Matters - Hyperliquid isn’t hiding in crypto shadows, it’s stepping up to help shape U.S. policy - Shows maturity and commitment to making DeFi a real financial alternative - Opens the door for U.S. regulatory clarity that benefits all onchain trading platforms Hyperliquid

On PiP & Friends NFTs: We didn’t skip partnerships, collabs or whitelists because we dislike anyone or have beef. We skipped all of them on purpose. That purpose was to keep it open and fair for all, not to just keep playing musical chairs with the same people in the Hyperliquid ecosystem. The goal of this collection is to grow community and to onboard NEW people from other chains into Hyperliquid, which we accomplished. Hyperliquid is for everyone. PiP is for everyone. For those calling it “max extraction” let’s be clear: 100% of the mint proceeds are being burned. No one is pocketing anything from this. Again, the goal was to onboard more people to Hyperliquid, not to make money. PiP isn’t just a meme, it’s here to make waves, not only in crypto but expanding to children’s toys, plushies, merch, entertainment parks, animated TV shows, etc… The awesome thing is that anyone can contribute with their own expertise. There is no team. It’s just a bunch of people who love PiP and contribute when and how they want. We don’t expect everyone to like PiP or embark on this journey with us, but the door is open to all. Hyperliquid is for everyone. PiP is for everyone💧❤️

I got early access to try @tradexyz, and I can officially say I’m one of the first ones to trade stocks on Hyperliquid. The platform is super smooth. All you have to do to get started is transfer USDC from Hyperliquid to your Equities account. Congrats @sershokunin @hyperliquidbull @unitxyz @unitintern Performance-wise I haven’t had any issues, only tips I have so far: 1. Naming convention “Crypto”: I would call this perps. Because if I see “Crypto” I would imagine my spot being there too. 2. Allow me to turn on/off buys and sells on chart 3. I want to customize my layout and charts. Hyperliquid
Equity perps are now live. Trade [XYZ100] with up to 20x leverage 24/7, 365. The XYZ US 100 Index tracks the value of the top 100 non-financial companies. The first 100 users on the waitlist will get alpha access to trade.xyz today.

It’s odd seeing people dismiss Paxos just because “PayPal might touch USDH and Hyperliquid.” We talk about wanting mass adoption, but when the opportunity is here suddenly every small risk is treated as a huge dealbreaker. Yes, PayPal has frozen funds before but so has Coinbase. That risk is theirs, not Hyperliquid’s or USDH. Example: I bake it and send it to all supermarkets worldwide. If one supermarket freezes cards and customers can’t buy, the issue is with the supermarket, not the bread itself. With that said, I hope Paxos wins. But if they don’t, I agree Native Markets is the second best option because of Max and alignment to Hyperliquid eco, however they have less experience and it might take way longer to reach mass adoption. Proposal: HIP-Dictator Establishing Jeff as Supreme Leader of Hyperliquid Abstract: To streamline governance and eliminate inefficiencies, I propose we abandon decentralization entirely and formally recognize Jeff as Supreme Leader of Hyperliquid. Under this structure, Hyperliquid transitions from a blockchain into a benevolent dictatorship, ensuring faster decision-making, zero community drama, and infinite uptime. Motivation: - Democracy is overrated. - Validators are too biased. - Twitter debates waste blockspace. - Jeff is already doing all the work anyway. Specification: - All validator votes are replaced with Jeff’s mood each morning. - The Assistance Fund will be renamed Jeff’s Assistance Fund. - Cancel prioritization will now include a “Praise Jeff” flag for guaranteed success. Rationale: Decentralization promised fairness, but centralization promises greatness. Other chains can keep their committees, we will keep our Supreme Leader. Conclusion: By passing HIP-Dictator, Hyperliquid will finally achieve what no other blockchain has dared: perfect centralization with perfect execution. All in favor, say: "Hyperliquid". All opposed, say: "Hyperliquid". Hyperliquid

Jeff and the HyperLiquid team have given us a once in a lifetime opportunity. Yet, money often reveals true character. Instead of uniting to grow the ecosystem, we see division: devs clashing with the community, and the community turning on itself. It’s disheartening. Crypto Twitter glorifies strong personalities rather than real talent. Most large accounts owe their following to charisma, not skill. The best traders and investors aren’t even here, avoiding the noise. Lessons in that. I just wish we could go back to the pre-TGE days when we were all just vibing together. With that said, I’ll go back on my short holiday. More love, less hate ❤️

HIP-5: Staker Governed Assistance Fund (AF-2) This HIP proposes allocating up to 5% of protocol trading fees to a new Assistance Fund (AF-2) governed directly by HYPE stakers. AF-2 extends the current buyback model (AF-1) by introducing real-time, on-chain voting that allows stakers to direct part of the fees toward Strict List tokens (e.g., HYPE, PURR, HFUN). This mechanism supports ecosystem growth while maintaining HYPE’s deflationary structure and attracts new builders. The proposal includes a detailed empirical simulation analyzing market impact, liquidity effects, and risk mitigation measures such as LSD governance safeguards and TWAP execution design. Co-authors: @Ericonomic (Supercexy), @CalebAndersDev (Flowdesk), @CFrugho, @0xHakai_ (Three Sigma), @FSobrini (Chorus One) and @HansonBirringer (FlowDesk).
