Today, we’re announcing a bold step!
xExchange has finalized the transition announced in the recent Town Hall, to become a self-managed entity. This will allow us to move with the agility and culture of a growth-oriented startup; get updates out fast and iterate from there, adapt more swiftly to market opportunities.
With this shift, we’re also making important structural changes:
•
@lcswillems is stepping down as Head of xExchange but will remain involved in a consulting role for the rest of the year, ensuring the successful transition of xExchange into its next chapter. Lucas has worn every hat: interviewing & supporting users, researching product design, coding, testing, communicating, and coordinating the huge team effort behind the v3 release. We’re deeply thankful for all his contributions
•
@LataretuClaudiu will take the torch from Lucas in the lead role. Claudiu has been part of the xExchange team since it was only a draft document and played a key role in the development. Knows all the ins-and-outs, and will lead our mission to expand DeFi beyond the current “crypto minority”
•
@kimura668 is joining the team as a Growth Lead. The past year has been about rethinking DeFi to be intuitive for the wider public. Kimura’s extensive experience in building on-chain products and bringing them to market will help us grow the pie, so open finance benefits people from every corner of the world
• Several other team members have transitioned from shared-resource positions to being fully dedicated to xExchange. Notably
@BrotherJder, who is primarily in charge of deployment pipelines, vulnerability checks, and to ensure that security is P0 through each release process.
The work isn’t done until DeFi becomes an invisible default integrated in everyday use.
With these changes done, a new chapter begins for xExchange.
New experiments, faster iterations, all done to accelerate growth.
