Yesterday the students wrote what they were leaving behind in 2022 and crumbled it up and threw it in the floor. No names. Then they picked up someone else’s and read it. It showed them what bothers other class mates. Eye opening and truthful. #socialemotional

Who is “You people?” And why is their hand out? As a public school teacher, our funds are limited to non existent. I ask for hygiene products because many students have a lack of access to them. It can cause attendance issues and I want ALL children to succeed. She needs to sit down somewhere.

Update I saw my student E whose house burnt down and his mom. She didn’t know I was the one who collected the donations. He slid over to hug me and said I know it was you. 🥹 he asked if he could tell his momma and I said yes. She hugged me so tight. #DontUnderstimateTeachers
