And you think thatβs whatβs happening? They have entered Darioβs Paradox.
They donβt have the compute to continue to advance research while also servicing retail and enterprise. This means each release intra and inter generation feels worse or - in Fableβs case - has massive guardrails disguised as βsecurity.β This is to service their self-destructive self-sabotage loop of compute demand.
The paradox means they continue to put more restrictions on users to open up compute for the lab so they can continue to advance their progress towards dominant recursive AGI/ASI/Agentic. And theyβre doing that for the dumbest reason. Feel free to ask me.
They make the restriction more punitive on the current rungs based off of some overly complex formula, which ends up pissing off their core in both retail, higher ed and enterprise. Claude Free becomes first to go. Token cost for aforementioned non-free dramatically increases in cost again. Then someone will come up with the not so brilliant idea to tier tokens, which will fail horrificly.
They realize the one organization that could have bailed them out - the organization that has historically funded the highest institutions of research (so we could be the most dominant power), the United States government, is now funding all of their competitors - and it shows.
Darioβs Paradox. When you make the fatal mistake of crossing science and ideology and are bad at math.
