After ~6 months of building, I'm shutting down my SaaS
Here's why...
1. Hitting PMF
- Newsletter Lead Gen is more valuable for the newsletter because it's easy passive income
- It didn't have the same value for the advertisers as we had expected
2. Timing
- Trying to scale a ghost writing agency and SaaS at the same time is 100% difficult and stretched myself to wide
3. Passion
- As much as I love working solo, I really enjoy working with or on creative teams
Next for me:
- Scale ghost writing agency

- Find the right Series A company that needs a head of social

95% agree… I’d say self service SaaS is mostly cooked
There are a lot of enterprise and deep tech that will still need onboarding and account managers
Yes you could build a CRM in house, but building something as complex as Salesforce or Hubspot will still take a lot of time and money to implement even with AI
The space will inevitably become more competitive and prices will drop
So it could just be easier to pay for the software instead of building it internally
