From #MollieTibbetts' obituary, "In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be designated to the University of Iowa Stead Family Children’s Hospital, mailed in care of the Smith Funeral Home, PO Box 368, Grinnell, Iowa 50112."
Something you maybe haven't noticed yet is the new silver Tigerhawk tag that Nike put on the back of @IowaWBB's uniforms this year recognizing their 2023 Final Four appearance.
This year I spent time on a new remote camera project. I placed a camera in the catwalk at Carver that I could remotely pan/tilt/zoom/focus from the floor. The catwalks don't go directly over the baskets and we can't shoot from catwalks during events so I had to get creative.
I spent most of the past two weeks with the @IowaWBB team at the #ncaaW Tournament in San Antonio and thought I'd share some photos of things you didn't see on TV during the games. First off, we were in the bubble and we went just about everywhere as a team. (1/8)
#Hawkeyes head coach Kirk Ferentz hugs his son and offensive coordinator Brian Ferentz after Kirk became the winningest coach in Hawkeyes history. He then waved to the crowd while running off the field. #KF144 @marcmorehouse @jeje66 GALLERY: thegazette.com/section/slide…
The #Hawkeyes had a perfect 16-0 record at Carver-Hawkeye Arena this year and the @IowaWBB team advances to the Sweet 16 with a 68-52 win. #FightForIowa#ncaaW
The last two days have been fun. Not much sleep and a lot of editing still to do but being able to capture @IowaXC_TF and @IowaWBB winning Big Ten Championships has been amazing.
Today was senior day for @HawkeyeFootball and I close out year 14 of covering football at Kinnick Stadium. I'm so grateful that I'm now part of @TheIowaHawkeyes team. #FightForIowa
#TBT to @IowaWBB's Awards Banquet on Sunday when Dr. Christine Grant presented the Dr. Christine Grant Leadership Award to @han_stew, @GustafsonMeg10, and @_1lilt.
A full moon, known as the beaver moon, rises behind the Quaker Oats sign in downtown Cedar Rapids. The facility is the largest cereal production plant in the world.
When there are no people and cars downtown Cedar Rapids you can do some fun things with a drone. Merry Christmas from those of us working today at @gazettedotcom.
I am very excited to announce that I'll be joining @TheIowaHawkeyes as Assistant Director of Photography/Video. I'll be working for @HawkeyeBRay and will add to his coverage of the Hawkeyes 24 varsity sports programs. (3/3)
A photo from my first game of 2020 (@IowaWBB win at Northwestern) and a photo of my first game of 2021 (#Hawkeyes win at Illinois). It's so fun to watch @LisaBluder's interactions with her team.

Yesterday, while most everyone was watching Lisbon celebrating after winning my remote camera covering home plate caught @jakehilmer shaking hands with @brycewerderman. Nice move by both.
If you are a #Hawkeyes fan you should get a copy of The Gazette tomorrow. It's not too often that we put sports on the front page and tomorrow it's the entire front page. Inside is the Final Score pages with games stories and all the other sections you expect in our Sunday paper.
A week from today will be my last day at The Gazette. I have had a lot of fun shooting photos for this paper for the past 12 years (7 as a freelancer and the last 5 full time). I am really grateful for all the people I've met and stories I've worked on over the years. (1/3)
I'm working on an archiving project this summer and ran across this photo today. @connor_m30 and @patrickmccaff22 look on during the press conference to introduce their dad as the new @IowaHoops head coach in 2010. #Hawkeyes
I photographed my last two assignments this morning and my time at the Gazette has come to a close. I turned in my gear this afternoon to Cliff Jette. Cliff was the first Gazette employee I met on my first day freelancing for the Gazette in 2006. He has taught me a ton.
Today marks my 5th anniversary of joining the Gazette as a staff photographer. It is a special privilege to work for the paper I grew up reading. I would not be here today without the advice and assistance of many friends. Here are a few of my favorite images from the past year.
