Dear artists,
Curators and collectors are trying to find your work, so PLEASE do yourself a favor and do the following:
1. Have a link in your bio to your available work! No one wants to have to look for hours through your feed to see if they can find a link to a piece or go through every platform searching for you.
2. If you have a Linktree: great — but please update it. Again, having tons of expired or broken links is very confusing and frustrating. Update it and keep it current.
3. Have a webpage. You can do something very simple with AI or with any web-building tool. Something that says who you are, what your practice is like, shares your overall work, and shows your available work. Again, make it easy for a collector to fall in love with you.
4. In your X bio, have something that makes sense (or points to something that makes sense, like a website). If they’re looking at your X profile, chances are something caught their attention or someone recommended you. Let them know who you are as an artist.
5. Please put prices on your pieces! It is very hard for a collector to offer to buy without knowing your price point. They don’t want to go too high, but they definitely don’t want to go too low and offend you. Take the guessing out of it. State your price (and adjust accordingly). If you don’t want to do this on a platform, at least do it on your webpage so collectors can understand your general price range.
6. Have some sort of pricing strategy that you can stand behind. Don’t make it seem like you have completely different pricing depending on which platform the collector finds you on. Do all your pieces have to have the same price? Absolutely not. Is it based on how much time you put into the piece? No. It is based on what you believe the piece is worth. Make it make sense to you, and it will make sense to a collector — but be consistent.
7. And lastly, be active. I don’t mean you have to post 10 times a day or that you even have to have new work. But if a collector sees that you’ve had no activity for over six months, they might assume things have changed and you’re no longer interested in selling. Most collectors want to buy beautiful work, but they also want to support an artist’s journey. If you’re no longer interested in the journey, they might not be either.

Two years ago, @clairesilver asked me to lead @AccelerateArt as Exec Dir. I am grateful to @benroy__ and Claire for this amazing opportunity. Today, I am stepping down from this role confident that a healthy seed has been planted and that there is a bright future for A2.

I joined A2 as a member in 2022. It was an honor to be included (members were hand picked by founders - from well known artists, to emerging artist, to well know collectors to small collectors to overall art enthusiasts). The idea was clear: we all wanted to help empower artists so why not join forces and do it together?
We had our first event in NY in 2022. I donated funds for the event and contributed my time to make it happen. It was a huge success but it wasn’t enough. More had to be done.
So the next two years I focused on the following:
✅growing the community (not just numbers but rather the feeling)
✅growing artist exposure (through exhibits and relevant programs and opportunities)
✅creating long lasting partnerships
✅creating a valuable and respected brand
The two annual reports show the incredible amount of things we did with no staff and very little funding (A2 is a US non profit so things like annual reports seem lame but should be done).

While I did this pro-bono and even investing personal funds, I have to say that I wouldn’t have been able to do any of it without the help and support of the amazing @outofthesystem1 who also donated endless amount of hours of work and time away from her family to help artists.
What is next for me? I am not going anywhere and I am open to new opportunities that might come my way! I am ready to join a new project where I can help make a difference.
I will also continue to be a member and huge supporter of A2 and I will be there for whatever the new leadership might need. I urge everyone that can, to donate to A2 because the impact this org has on artist is real and much needed.

This is not only great for Claire as a contemporary artist, this is great news for all digital artists. I have been around long enough to see the enormous amount of talent there is in the space and I am glad that trad collectors are now open to see it as well! 👏🚀🔥
"Transplant," exhibited at @weareunitlondon, painted by an @AcrylicRobotics robot at @AWSstartups, & shown at @DigitalArtFair when I shared "Artist of the Year" with @bottoproject, has sold to a private collector for 100,000 USD. Huge thanks to @spumma for facilitating the transaction.
This is my ATH in USD, not in ETH, but was priced according to my my prior ETH sales. According to GPT, this sale of a text-to-image AI piece has placed me in the top 1 percent of living artists based on sales. Believe me when I tell you--I won't be the last to say that.

I say you stick to your word and do nothing. I volunteer to help you select a wide range of 1/1 artists that have pieces selling at a range of 0.069 - 0.69. Create a collection called “Probably Nothing”. Would make many, many artists happy. #probablynothingcollection

3. The diversity
Most art is influenced by experience. So when I curate (unless there is a specific topic - "Latin American Art" for example) I like to consider all experiences. From all over the world, from all genders and ages. What can be better than diversity?

A well curated space should take you through a journey. It should tell a story with all the right steps: initial decision or event sparked by a desire, the increasing action, the moment of crisis, the climax, the descending action and a resolution.

My criteria for collecting 1/1s:
#1: I have to love the art (Would I hang it on my walls?)
#2: I have to like the artist (or at least feel like they are not asses)
I have sometimes been flexible on #1 (like but wouldn’t hang) because I love the artist, but never skipped #2.
