Starting Feb. 1, 2025, riding without a valid fare will result a $25 citation 🚫💳. Paying on the spot will no longer be an option, so make sure to tap or scan before boarding the Trolley, every time!
Why make this change? 💸 Fare evasion is estimated to cost MTS up to $1 million a month. That’s revenue that could go toward keeping services reliable and fares affordable for everyone.
🛑 No ticket? No tap? No exceptions. Citations can escalate to over $192 if not addressed on time.
