Firecrackers should be banned.
Not because it’s fashionable to say it but because we’ve turned celebration into destruction.
> Every year, the sky is filled with noise, smoke, and flashes.
> Kids, elders, animals all suffer, while the air turns poisonous.
And yet, people still don’t stop.
The problem isn’t ignorance anymore.
It’s ego.
Firecrackers have become a part of people’s identity.
Everyone knows they disturb others, frighten animals, and add nothing to the spirit of festival.
Still, they light them up because:
> religion (even though Ram has nothing to do with it)
> ego (the louder the blast, the stronger they feel)
> herd mentality (everyone’s doing it, so why shouldn’t I?)
You can’t see PM2.5 clogging your lungs, so it feels harmless.
And I still don’t get this mentality:
> Marriage? Let’s cause pollution.
> Birthday? Let’s make noise.
> Festival? Let’s fill the sky with smoke.
Maybe we’ve mistaken destruction for celebration..
The real festival the mature one is when:
> you can question your own habits
> you celebrate light overcoming darkness, not humans choking each other in smog
> you honor Diwali’s spirit by cleaning the air, not polluting it
If this post gets hate, I’ll take it.
Because hate usually screams loudest when truth hits ego.
Light diyas, not lungs. ✨
Peace.
