John Shahidi and his brother Sammy are like my little brothers. I’ve mentored them since 2010. I had had the profound honor to meet his Grandmother, may God bless her and may she rest in peace, who carried the weight of these profound losses and helped raised John and Sammy to Lion men. I’ve gotten very close to their parents who have become like my adoptive parents. This is a great Iranian American family. They carry the legacy of his courageous Uncles who died fighting for Iran’s freedom right at the start of this evil Islamic regime.
