We have never, ever, EVER met a single person who has arrived in the UK who has been given clothing by the @ukhomeoffice. EVER.
It is why we & multiple other community organisations provide free clothing to people as often as we can.
The spending in Primark was for asylum seekers who would have not had appropriate clothing when arriving in the UK.
We are committed to delivering the best value for money for the British taxpayer, making sure every pound is spent in the most effective way.

Multiple people attacked and stabbed in Glasgow City Centre Park Inn hotel. The hotel also houses asylum seekers. I am told by an asylum seeker resident in the hotel that they are NOT allowed to speak to anyone, he said many people have stabbed by knives.

We see every single day the failings of the housing system. And don't get us started on the refusal to recognise or acknowledge trauma!
One of our team being spectacularly failed by the system, only emphasises our point that this can very easily become a problem for ANY of us.
After losing our mum to cancer less than 3 weeks ago, my sister and I have been told by @HelloSanctuary that we are to vacate our family home in the next 2 weeks, forcing us in to a homelessness.
I’m not one to share my business online but this is too important not to.

And thanks to our new playroom by IKEA we can now provide a safe space for children to play so that our team and our volunteers can make connections and become friends and family to those most recently arrived.

The @ukhomeoffice has serious questions to answer on asylum accommodation - the Minister must apologise for the trauma caused, and authorise an independent investigation.
