Twitch Korea just announced that starting tomorrow, no one in Korea will be able to watch streams at higher than 720p due to new increased costs based on new net laws. I expect YouTube and other streaming platforms will follow suit. Can’t believe no one is talking about this

You can tell there was a battle for Zeus until the end. T1’s branding for all of their previous announcements had the players give a little speech. Doran doesn’t have a photo in a T1 jersey, and was announced at 11:30PM KST instead of the normal afternoon announcements. HLE won.

If Zeus went to HLE (which is the most likely scenario), there were no other options in terms of strong free agent Korean top laners but Doran. Everyone else was locked up. This is basically the last move of the off-season. T1 Doran was inevitable if T1 couldn’t get Zeus to stay.

This is actually a true story— I was at the gym during game 1 of the KT GEN semifinals. After KT lost the baron I put down the dumbbells and decided, fuck it, game’s over, I’m going to drive home. When I went outside it was pouring down rain, insanely dark clouds. It was perfectly clear just before I went inside the gym. I drove my scooter back home through the rain (about a 5 min drive), and the rain stopped as I pulled up. There was a massive rainbow right overhead on the edge of the clouds. I opened Twitter and saw all the reactions to KT winning game one. My phone was blowing up. I opened the door to my apartment and my wife said “Why are you in such a good mood?” I told her KT was going to win Worlds.
