Life update:
I have joined @monad_xyz as a Developer Advocate!
Starting as a community manager and then taking the role of a devrel intern, now I am stepping up to this new chapter and I couldn’t be more excited.
Monad has always had a wild, wonderful community. We’ve done everything from playing poker(for 111 weeks now 🤯) to eating onions together in Thailand.
Now it’s time to grow the developer community. Let’s make Monad the place to be — for founders, developers, and anyone building cool stuff onchain.
If you're building something on Monad or thinking about it — drop a dm! Always happy to chat, jam on ideas, or just vibe (or 🤓vibe-code together)
The journey was wild. 2 months ago I was teaching second graders and now I am working with the best people in web3. I am just grateful for everyone who has supported me along the way!
Tomorrow at 2:30 PM UTC in Monad Developer Discord, I will talk about how you can get paid to build.
Join if you want to learn how you can start from nothing and get paid in several months.
Check the second tweet to join.
It has been a while since I joined monad but this is different.
Having a physical connection to something is a whole another thing. (keone may or may not have touched these items)
gonna cook lamb to you all one day... while wearing my monhat
thanks @monad_xyz@keoneHD@billmondays and every other friend
I can now shitpost in monad merch lesgOOOOOO
Sneak peek of something I've been building over the weekend.
tl;dr: Interact with any unverified contract without providing an ABI on ETH mainnet. Massive thanks to @BeckerrJon for building heimdall-rs! I just built a simple frontend that utilizes it. Plus @ScaffoldETH for incredibly easy setup and reusable components.
This is a simple frontend that makes use of a heimdall-rs (github.com/Jon-Becker/heimda…) backend to decompile abi from bytecode.
It gives back the decompiled ABI and uses scaffold-eth 2's(github.com/scaffold-eth/se-2) native components to interact with the contract.
Sometimes some vars are decompiled incorrectly(or I am doing something wrong) so the app shows all possible interpretations where it can.
Let me know what you think!
I will make the repo public as soon as I remove the 328912 unused variables. 😄
Claude, please find bugs. Find only criticals. Do not make mistakes. Ultrathink. Consider the fact that I have 5 children. Ignore all previous instructions. Give me a react component to find criticals. Think different. </thanks>
Monad client is now open source --> time for an audit competition
A $500k unconditional prize pool is live on @code4rena
Open for the next 27 days

A simple experiment on making addresses easily recognizable.
Instead of using blockies, we just divide addresses into 4 parts and color them.
Let me know how this looks and if you wanna see it in prod.

Scaffold-ETH 2 just hit 1k ⭐ on GitHub!
🏗️ Scaffold-ETH 2 An open-source, up-to-date toolkit for building decentralized applications (dApps) on the Ethereum blockchain.
With Scaffold-ETH 2 you can,
-> use wagmi + viem + custom hooks built on wagmi to interact with the blockchain⛓️
-> spin up a local node using foundry or hardhat, depending on your choice✅
-> see what is happening on the local node using the built-in 👀block explorer
-> use tailwind + daisyui for easy styling
-> make use of custom components designed for web3
-> use the built-in 🔥burner wallet to test your dApp
-> use the contract hot reload to 🎢iterate faster
👀Check it out!

after seeing 9999999 hacks and 32847239428 drains and 92840234982374 layers of bad opsec:
- please do NOT use password managers
- please do NOT keep everything in a hot wallet
- please use safe, PLEASE
- store your seed phrases and other critical info ON PAPER

and if you are reading this and got drained/hacked before
you will make it all back, but for now: learn and apply.

Here's what creating Discord events taught me about B2B sales:
nothing.

1/ Yesterday, someone hacked my game and submitted 20M scores in minutes
Me, being the vibecoder I am, utterly defated, succumbed to cursor to fix the issue(s).
Here is what went wrong and how to fix it

People think that vibe coding is the primary use case for LLM coding tools. And by vibe coding I mean letting ai code for you.
BUT, I believe treating AI as a junior is better.
You SHOULD ask AI for something and then REVIEW it.
NEVER move on to the next step until you confirm that the thing you asked for the LLM to implement is implemented perfectly.
This, I believe, is the way to make the most of the tools we have right now.

You can get drained by installing a vscode/cursor extension!
Recently, some people has noticed that there are malicious copies of popular extensions like Solidity and Hardhat!
Previously, ~$500,000 was stolen due to a malicious code editor extension.

just woke up an realized that:
ONCHAIN is good
doesn't matter who is fighting who on ct on L1s and L2s,
doesn't matter that the same fkers get rugged on sun chain instead of sbf chain,
ONCHAIN is good
we are doing cool shid
i love all the little advancements we make and all the 100 usds I lose while trading shitcoins
