I love videos like these. The big challenge is scaling it up for entire class. However, if you don’t have enough hula hoops, or cones, have it as a station. #physed
Some have asked me for options due to distance learning possibly happening. This is a link to the next 3 months of Fitness Calendars that I send home with my students...

I have more activities that I will pass along as well. #physed#pegeeks
Inspired by @CoachPirillo this is the game of "Move The Pin". This can be used with all sorts of skills like kicking, throwing, long & short handled striking, and volleying. @pe4everykid#physed#pegeeks

New batting station. It forces the batter to have a level swing otherwise the ball will not slide smoothy. Ball is attached with a carabiner. #physed@exercys
Seemed like the logical next version

Please note: I frequently get emails asking if I can send people ALL of my projector activities. That is what my website & YouTube channel are for. Always free but YOU have to upload😉

Just made these, and because I can’t sell them, you get them for free. 10 total all linked to each other. Will be part of my Active Arcade Theme. You’re welcome.

I’d like to congratulate @pe4everykid for being named the 2019 Elementary #physed teacher of the year in Illinois!!! A well deserved and LONG overdue award. To my friend I say: You the man!!!
So after seeing many versions of this I decided to make my own. Included are some that don’t require hand to hand contact for those students who may be sensitive. My vision is to hang this on the door sticking pics on w/Velcro so they can be changed out from time to time. #physed
The game is called “Basket Bowl”. Half the class is in 4 short lines on one side of the gym. The other half is on other side in same set up. 12 laundry baskets are set up in the middle. Object of the game is to move the baskets closer to the other team. 3 minute rounds. #physed
Anyone willing to share their yearly plan? This doesn’t encompass everything, but it keeps me on track. If I see something that I’d like to try in class, I save it and wait until it fits.
#physed#pegeeks
Seen many do this. I have enough spots for 12 students / 5 of each color (which is my max right now). Even w/24 Sts they can switch & rotate after 30 seconds. Trying this week. Wonder if I could tie in w/ @unruly_studios 🤔 #physed#sdinpe#pegeekspiped.video/XcLchOZ-9X0
#PhysEd peeps. Don’t post anything this weekend if you’re out of school due to the virus. Step away. Take the foot off the gas. Those ideas and resources will still be there on Monday when you return to “work”. #HPEatHome#selfcare
When creating your own presentations or videos for your students, it’s very important for YOU to be in them. Better yet, your students too. Take the time. Do the work. #physed#pegeeks#HPEatHome
Laundry basket game. Tape exercise spot to bottom of basket. Scarf on top. Pin on scarf. Remove scarf w/o pin falling. If it falls, do exercise. If it doesn’t fall, take a victory lap then play again. Don’t remember who posted this original idea. Please let me know. #physed
When I see “latest & greatest” #physed activity on Twitter my 1st thought is not “I can’t wait to play that next week”. My thoughts are:
1. Is it developmentally appropriate?
2. Does it allow for whole class participation?
3. Where in my scope & sequence does it fit?

Anyone play “Frustration”? Look closely. There’s a little yellow ball that must be moved by passing the basketballs at it. Square set up with 4 teams. If the ball goes past one goal line, the other 3 teams get a point. #physed
New game called “Cardio Cone Flipping 4 Square”. Round 1-Flip cone in hoop. If you land 1st you score point. If it doesn’t land, run 1 time around hoops & flip again. Play until all but 1 has landed it. Round 2-Must land cone twice. Round 3-3 times. Then use other hand. #physed
Gotta say, this $33 microphone works very well. Just tested it and it still connects and works clearly over 70 feet away.

If you haven’t done this already, it’s really OK to take some things off your plate this year. If things are not vitally necessary, why not put them on hold or the back burner? Don’t get burned out. #PhysEd#pegeeks
Take off on @CoachGelardi “Fold The Towel” game. This is called “Fold The Chute”. 6 foot mini parachutes and a small stuffed animal. Will be using this game when things go back to “normal”. #physed
Want to save a ton of time laminating and cutting plus make your cards last for years? Bought these at a local comic/baseball card shop. Cards slide right in. Super durable. #physed
Dear #physed teachers:
Have a program, have a plan. Try to link lessons to one another, rather than playing the “latest and greatest” game on the internet. Be diligent about connecting with students and their families. Be the squeaky wheel and get the best for your program.
More than any other book, “Make It Take It” has inspired me to create more fitness activities of my own. One activity is called “Phone Number Fitness”. This & many others are already made & ready to use. I created my own w/color graphics. #physed#sdinpeteacherspayteachers.com/Prod…
Another gem from @instagram.
Finding many great ideas on there. Adding this one to my balance activities this coming week.

Thinking of redoing and combining all my Phys.Ed.School and Super 7 videos into Would You Rather videos. That way they can be used with any grade. An easier video, more difficult, most difficult. #physed#pegeeks
My thoughts on @TheOllyBall…very good overall experience. Mylar balloon on inside is easy to blow up. 12” Ball is lighter than a beachball but heavier than a balloon. Durable too (had all my #physed classes use them for a week & they all survived). Highly recommended.
When students get back to in-person, I hope many schools will understand the importance for students to have unstructured free time w/their classmates. That is learning that will never come out of any book, nor should it. Call it whatever you want but, provide it, often.
If any professional athlete (or any athlete for that matter) who wonders how to act when you win or lose, you need to watch Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic. Class acts all the way. I admire the both of them to no end.

Every time I do stations with my students I always ask these questions:
Which station was your favorite?
Which one was easiest for you?
Which one was difficult for you?
Which one do you want to take home?
Which one do you want to see your (classroom) teacher do?
