I was wrong about Trump Entire Trump family are nepotistic extractive grifters, probably sets crypto back a decade after leaving office Getting us into another large scale conflict in the Middle East after he campaigned against the Iraq war and foreign wars for other nations Instead of securing the southern border like he’s promised for a decade, he unleashed a Gestapo into American cities which barely put a single drop in the bucket of immigration, but did successfully bait the Right into cheering on a federal police state where white vans show up and take people off the street Campaigned against the deep state as an enemy of the people, and then worked with Palantir to increase federal agency domestic surveillance on Americans The entire MAGA campaign was a fraud. We got duped. Feels horrible.

Unpopular take but I think Libra was great, exactly what we needed. We need the rotation rugs to be as swift, violent and extractive as possible. We need every single public market participant who buys to lose, ALL of the gains to go to insiders. If we have anymore big launches like this, I hope they’re even *more* violent and *more* extractive Zero PNL screenshots on the timeline, zero profits anywhere to be heard of, zero long term copium narrative like Trump, only pain and suffering and devastation This is the only way this meta ends

Actually think Solana largely dies at the end of this bull run. Like maybe still one of the bigger chains in future cycles, but smaller than the largest 2-3 L2s within 5 years It’s a shitcoin casino, left over from FTX last cycle. FTX doesn’t exist anymore. Coinbase is the biggest shop in town and soon likely expands to be a global leader. L2s are cheaper, and now much faster than Solana. DeFi isn’t built on Solana, almost nothing is built on Solana outside the casino infra. Inflation is *much* higher than ETH, the only thing holding up price is the casino. ETH is the multi-decade winner as *settlement layer* (we can talk issues with price/value from L2s, and how long those might take to figure out). ^If that’s not clear to you then you’re living under a rock. BlackRock is investing in and building on Ethereum, everyone outside the casino is building on Ethereum (L2s) As soon as the music stops and the bear market comes for real, the inflation with no casino is going to collapse price, and imho future retail cycles and retail dapps are much more likely to be on EVM. We’ve seen in social media how difficult network effects are to overcome, Ethereum has lost momentum and is still many many miles ahead on network effect

Dating apps are the best dating-related invention in history and people who hate them are usually just coping because they’re unsuccessful in dating Hookup culture in America really took off in the 70s had nothing to do with dating apps which didn’t exist for another 40+ years. Hookup culture has been declining the past 2 decades, especially pronounced over the last 5 years >Dating apps allow you to transcend any and all social barriers, socioeconomic or cultural differences and date anyone easily >Allows you to date someone you know already has some baseline level of interest in you (they matched you) >Allows you to access a *way better* and wider pool of potential candidates than only dating based on physical proximity Are there tradeoffs and pitfalls and ways to exploit them or use in self-destructive ways? Of course just like any technology m In my social circle I know of dozens of people who got married from dating apps including multiple cases of virgins waiting until marriage - the idea that dating apps is all whores and fuckboys is simply not true If we had to navigate the modern digital world without dating apps, the loneliness epidemic would be much much worse than it already is Personally I feel people who refuse to use dating apps are playing a much more dangerous game in risking lifetime loneliness or choice between a very limited range of potential partners

Here’s my take on zoomer and millennial burnout: You’re not burnt out from work, you’re burnt out from pleasure. I worked in tech for 8 years and I saw boomers working boring backend internet tech jobs with 50 hour weeks and 24/7 availability, barely any vacation and they maintained that intensity not for years but DECADES in a row at the same job without getting burnt out, perfectly happy and stable The reason you’re burnt out is a combination of dopamine overload, attention deficient programming, valueless noise to mentally parse and stress of doomscrolling If you want to get over it you need to do a digital detox where you completely cut out short form video content, limit scrolling on X and social media in general (ie IG, dating apps). Allow your dopamine receptors to heal, allow your ability to concentrate and focus to heal. You got even one week without any social media (say limit X to 30min morning, 30min night and 0 short form video content) and you’ll feel renewed in a way you haven’t since social media became a core part of your life
is anyone else completely burnt out? not the kind of burn out that a “walk in the morning before work” or “weekend away” will fix. the kind that demands a year long sabbatical, completely offline and away from everyone and everything. if you’ve been here before, what helped?

Bro they removed 45% of brain amyloid beta plaques in 2 hours might be miracle treatment
Scientists from Spain and China have made a major breakthrough in Alzheimer’s research. They created special nanoparticles that can clear away toxic brain plaque — one of the main causes of Alzheimer’s — and even reverse memory loss in mice. The study, published in Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy, showed that just three injections of these nanoparticles removed up to 60% of the harmful amyloid beta proteins from the brain within one hour. The most amazing part is what happened afterward. Mice that had severe memory and thinking problems started behaving like normal, healthy mice again within six months. This dramatic recovery happened because the treatment didn’t just clean up the brain — it also repaired the brain’s blood-brain barrier (BBB). This barrier normally protects the brain and helps remove waste, but in Alzheimer’s, it becomes damaged and allows harmful substances to build up. These nanoparticles work like a “supramolecular drug,” which means they do more than just carry medicine — they actively help restore the brain’s natural cleaning system. They reactivate an important protein called LRP1, which helps clear waste from the brain. By fixing this system, the treatment improved blood flow, reduced inflammation, and allowed the brain to start healing itself. Although this research is still in the animal-testing stage, it opens an exciting new direction for Alzheimer’s treatment. Instead of only trying to destroy toxic proteins, future therapies might focus on reviving the body’s natural defenses. If this approach works in humans, it could completely change how we fight Alzheimer’s and other brain-degenerative diseases.

Crypto needs a spiritual revival, not even remotely joking or shitposting Aware that emotionally we’re in a capitulation, but it’s true. At least last cycle we had a revival of the arts full of human soul and a legitimate use case was born For a long time it’s been an industry driven by greed, deception, psychological manipulation, degeneracy. There’s obviously still lots of positive people and projects, but it’s become a small minority I deeply miss the ethos and optimism of the early days

People said Alon and PumpFun was responsible for scams, people said Alon “stole” $800M from the trenches, “stole” $500M from the presale and was responsible for the chart going down, and now people are acting like he owes them 6 figures in tokens What Alon and the PF team did was decentralize the ability to launch tokens for non-technical people with no engineering skills, pioneered the bonded curve and auto-locked unruggable LP and built a 4chancore janky web app which created a retail market boom. It’s decentralized technology. Nobody was forced to deploy on it, nobody was forced to buy on it, nobody was forced to pay fees to them, nobody was forced to buy into the presale or secondary market Where’s the self accountability in this industry for what you buy and do onchain? The whining and entitlement and jealousy on the timeline the past weeks is embarrassing. PumpFun committed to buybacks, BonkFun decided to undercut as a competitive tactic. Is it under Alon’s control where people chose to deploy? While you were bed rotting and jacking off all year in 2024 Alon built a novel product and grinded hard, reaching out to hundreds or thousands of people directly in DMs. I don’t own any $PUMP and have no horse in the launchpad race, I wish success to any good actors, but the couch commentary from people who’ve built nothing of value ever is weak low T and I’ll gladly be the one to call it out

Mika crash out is a great reminder you have to be careful with women you let in your inner circles or feed info to. Not about her specifically, just an example In all industries and ours is no different, women tend to be informants. So many guys keep women’s attention/try to establish trust by feeding them gossip. Simply by having close female friends in this space, I’ve learned many things about many powerful people, mostly things I didn’t want to know (idc at all who fucked who, who hates who and why etc) Women talk, women gossip. Not saying all women just generally speaking and especially women who get into inner circles because they’re attractive or have clout/reach (simps), they tend to be inexperienced and don’t have the type of compartmentalization and code of conduct that the men who’ve gained access to those circles have If you’re in DMs telling some baddie your secrets or your friend’s secrets, or your plans, just assume it doesn’t stay with her. You can even use this to your advantage - if you want to leak something but don’t want to leak it yourself, tell it to a woman in confidence

On one hand, the Solana peeps are right that the Base narrative feels forced and there’s almost nothing attractive on the chain yet On the other hand, maybe those Solana KOLs should’ve spoken against to the $130M drain pre-sale meta instead of caving, joining presales themselves and trading blatant scams Bridge flow doesn’t lie - Solana is having a massive liquidity rotation out to other chains. People got robbed the past week on Solana and it feels cooked for now. There’s a power vacuum and Base just happens to be the only other L2 narrative catching, and not having the baggage and saturation of Raydium makes it easy to “force”. People want to try out a new casino, even one with barely any games to play
