The league needed to expand this year. There is too much talent in the scene for only 12 league teams. When top AM teams can go toe to toe with bottom tier pro teams or beat them frequently that’s when you know there needs to be league expansion.

🚨 MAJOR changes to CDL going forward:
- Outstanding entry fees will be eliminated
- Teams will earn increased revenue tied to the sale of their in-game merchandise (e.g., Team bundles) and now, the Champs bundle as well
- CDL will increase existing event subsidy amounts for Teams organizing live in-person events such as Majors, Opens and Champs.
- Teams will receive a two-year minimum guarantee of revenue so they can continue investing into the Call of Duty League
