Our beautiful darling mother Pam passed away last night . We would like to thank all the incredible staff at Castle View in Salisbury, who were so kind and attentive to her. I saw her last week and I said “Can you see me Mum” of course I can you’re so big. Hysterical to the end.
What a sad day, the passing of the great Nicholas Parsons.I was a guest on his Edinburgh show last year and I was his best man in Barbados to the gorgeous Annie. What a great and talented man he was, undoubtedly the nicest man in show business. Neil and I will miss him hugely.
Sat in Hackney in tears and laughing at the brilliant television coverage. Over the last 50 years I had the privilege of meeting him several times, he always had a twinkle in his eye and will be sadly missed. My thoughts and love go to Her Majesty the Queen. The best monarch.
So very sad to hear of the passing of the comedy legend that was Dame June Whitfield. She rang Neil and I just before Christmas to wish us Happy Christmas. She was the nicest women ever. A great loss but in our memories for ever.
70 years ago I was born in Oldham. I was back there last night celebrating the fantastic work the POINT Charity do, it was my first official visit as there new Patron. They support parents, carers. Children and young people with special educational needs. A wonderful night.
After 104 days in lockdown we were able to go to a restaurant. We chose for lunch today, The Wolseley on Piccadilly. It was sensational, we were beautifully seated and the staff simply the best. The food was delicious and it was perfect to be back at The Wolseley.
Last night was the saddest and most exhilarating night in the theatre. Pantoland at the London Palladium was celebrating its 6th performance and closing night due to the incompetent government. Please explain a half full COVID safe theatre is surrounded by shops full of shoppers

Master chef is over, very sad, I think this was the best series ever. Sadly my favourite Nawamin didn’t win but the 3 finalists were brilliant. Come on BBC give Nawamin his own series. He was clever, inventive and extremely funny. Well done John and Greg xxxxx
What a night at the Theatre Royal York as the legend Berwick Kaler said goodbye to his loyal fans after 40 years in pantomime. I was there not only as an old friend but also to give him the accolade of The British Pantomime awards coveted Lifetime Achievement Award. Well done.

We all said a fond goodbye to our darling mother Pam. A large crowd met at Salisbury Crematorium to pay their respects to a very special lady. Peter Delaney officiated sublimely, the Biggins’s spoke wonderfully as did Neil Sinclair. I cried when mum came into Mammy by Al Jonson
Devastated to hear of the death of Helen McCrory. A beautiful talented actress, with many wonderful performances behind her especially Peaky Blinders. My love and thoughts go to her family especially Damian.
Gyles Brandreth’s book, The Oxford Book of Theatrical Anecdotes is a joy. If ever there was a book for the downstairs lavatory this is it. You will chuckle your heart away whilst getting rid of all your troubles. I love you Gyles. @GylesB1
At the premiere of Mama Mia at the Apollo Hammersmith. Wow what a film it’s just fantastic. Lily James is sensational as is Meryl Streep, Cher and Christine Baranski. I loved it and predict it will be a massive hit. Also what a wonderful party after, worthy of Cameron Mackintosh
Hooray hooray. Mary Poppins is back in town and it’s simply the best. The cast led by Zizi Strallen and Charlie Stemp and the legend Petula Clark were sensational, what a joyous night in the theatre. God bless Cameron Mackintosh.
Had one of the great evenings in the theatre last night at the concert version of Les Miserables at the Gielgud Theatre. The set, lighting, sound, orchestra and entire cast were sensational. Please please please try and go, you won’t regret it. Loads of love. Xxxxxxx
Had the greatest evening in the presence of the great actor Sir Ian McKellan. It was like seeing a cross between Sir Ian and Ken Dodd. Give yourself a Christmas treat and go and see this great actor, I cried and laughed all evening.

What a week fresh from my 4 and 5 star reviews, Late lunch with Biggins, at the Edinburgh festival. This week I saw the sensational Phoebe in Fleabag, followed by the brilliant Evita at the park and tonight A midsummer nights dream at the Bridge just dreamy. Wow how lucky am I.

Cameron Mackintosh’s #LesMiserables reopened tonight at the #SondheimTheatre. Undoubtedly the greatest musical of the 21st century. The #LesMiserablescast were simply sensational, the best production I’ve seen for a long time. Well done and long may you run in the #westend.
Neil and I took Patricia Hodge to the Southwark Playhouse last night to see Pippin. Hodge starred in the west End production in 1973. Last night the production was simply wonderful a fantastic cast,sensational band and all in all a brilliant evening. Go it’s only on for next week

I’ve just watched the first series of Normal People. Absolutely brilliant, it is refreshingly real with wonderful performances, especially from Daisy Edgar-Jones and Paul Mescal. Two stars of the future. I cannot recommend it enough. Well done BBC 3 and Sally Rooney the author.
Sat through one the great dramas about racism in this country tonight. Anthony, the senseless murder of an 18 year old black boy in Liverpool. Beautifully written by Jimmy McGovern and superb acting from Toheeb Jimoh as Trevor and Rakie Ayola as Gee his mother. Phenomenal drama.

Rupert Everett gave a private viewing last night of his new film “The Happy Prince “. It was just wonderful, I laughed and cried through out, it’s a masterpiece about the great writer Oscar Wilde. How as a country we could have subjected him to 2 years hard labour is beyond me.

Get yourself to Regents Park Open Air Theatre to see the brilliant Fiddler on the Roof which opened last night. The moment you walk into the auditorium and see Tom Scutt’s sensational set you know you’re in for a great night. The direction, choreography and talented cast confirm.
By far and away, the best musical in the West End. A simply sensational cast led by my friend Clive Carter. Please please go and see it, you won’t regret it, it was simply uplifting in every way. Come From Away at the Phoenix Theatre, Charing Cross Road.
