She turns on the oven. Three seventy five. She presses start and prepares the meat. I come up behind and hug her. I give her a kiss on the neck. The oven beeps and the food goes in. For the next fifteen minutes we banter and enjoy each other’s presence. The timer beeps. She takes out the food and prepares the sauce. Then she serves it. It’s delicious. I’ve had it a hundred times and it never gets old. I could eat these dino nuggets with ketchup forever
It’s a little sad when you see a kid from an upper middle class household go into engineering. Any engineering type career is meant solely for upward mobility
This applies to software as well
Except for the top .01%, every skilled job doesn’t require that much intellect. Engineering, architecture, medicine, finance, you name it, it’s all easy work

After Aella first posted how little she showered, I was curious and wanting anecdotal data asked a girl during a date how often she showered. I meant absolutely nothing by it but it was probably not a great question in retrospect
I've been working in software for a little over 2 years now and it's insane how low the bar is you can put in 50% of effort and you'll still be greater than 95% of all developers
weed addicts: noooo this isn't addictive at all I can quit anytime it doesn't affect my productivity at all
coffee addicts: this shit is a literal drug if I quit I will be violently ill but I'll never quit because I'm 10x more productive
