I don’t normally do posts like this but Just want to address my fans who are a bit confused with results. Everything is fine just missing Australia a bit and have a big trip planned towards the end of the year where I’ll miss the last few events. I should have gone last year after my best ever season and mentally paid the price. Nobody will know how hard it is being from the other side of the world (I don’t expect them too☺️) in the blink of an eye your brothers who were your best friends are suddenly 20 years older as well as other family members. It will be 4 years since I’ve seen them and can’t wait to go home it must be said. Like I say, everything is going great with practice and preparation and very much like the result today, over the past 12 months most of my opponents have played the match of their season/career. Big results are incoming but patience is the key💪

What an amazing 3 weeks and topped off by this title tonight. Graeme is an absolute champion and never gave up. The reserves are low but somehow managed to scrape the last bit of water from the well. My brain needs a rest lol

As another Crucible campaign begins. I just want to mention one of the biggest decisions that happened in my career and it wasn’t mine. Joe Perry moving to the same club in Cambridge when I made the big leap over in 2003 to move from Australia. I was so excited to be practicing and watch day in day out a top player in the game to learn from and to pull balls out of the pockets on a very regular basis! I did it without complaining and just admiring how good he was, while still trying to learn. Joe never asked me to contribute towards the costs of the table and let me practice on it when he wasn’t using it. This enabled me to adapt to the pro conditions at a much quicker rate and with Joe’s guidance and as a practice partner allowed me to get into the top 16 within 3 years. This simply would not have happened without him. The friendship and banter at @ClubWts was some of the most fun I’ve experienced and will cherish those times forever. @joegentlemanjoe announcing his retirement was heart breaking and one you hope never to hear when you have been on tour for so long together. Joe and I working together this season has been amazing and has been a huge reason for my turnaround so perhaps there are a few more chapters left to complete working side by side! It’s been an absolute honour to practice, play and compete against you for so long and to call you a great friend. Happy retirement mate❤️

This time last year I wasn’t in The Masters and away from the table life was hitting me with all kinds of blows that was destroying my career. Now it’s the absolute opposite, with a baby girl on the way and a run to the Semi finals #perspective good luck to both players today👏🏻🏆
