Thanks to everyone who voted for Baldur’s Gate 3 in the players voice. You made me cheer and then cry in a very public place. You rock and it means everything.

"This density and writing of quality would be impressive in a linear adventure; to find it in a game world this gorgeous, with this many branching dialogue trees and alternate story moments, is nothing short of awe inspiring."

I fell in love with Baldur's Gate in 1998 and returning decades later to tell new stories has been the honour of a lifetime. Part of my heart will always be there, with the friends and enemies we met, and the ones we created.
But I am so excited for what comes next.
It goes without saying that I might not be making games if BioWare hadn’t been hugely important to me over the decades. I certainly wouldn’t have been part of BG3, for obvious reasons.
Here’s to another twenty years and more of RPGs that make memories for a lifetime.
Me, admiring your characters when I see they are wearing unique vanity clothes that I strongly suspect were taken from the still-warm corpse of their original owner.
Huge congratulations to @remedygames, who have been part of my gaming life for so long I can’t imagine a world without them, or the marks they’ve made on me. Here’s to the weird and the wonderful.
I've been reading PC Gamer since issue #1, and I've been playing RPGs my whole life.
Seeing this has made me quite emotional just now. It's been a hell of a journey.

After more than 40 Million votes, we're delighted that Baldur's Gate 3 has won Game of the Year AND Outstanding Story-Rich Game in this year's Steam Awards. Thank you all for supporting Baldur's Gate 3 🙏🙏
Come for the heartfelt words, stay for the gag.
And I'll sneak in my own thanks to Swen here - he's a mentor, an inspiration, a creative mastermind, and a friend. Working with him is a dream come true.
If you're starting your adventure for the first time, or have been on the journey toward Baldur's Gate with us for years - welcome.
So fucking proud of this team and this game, and I hope you all have amazing adventures.
Last up it’s the award for Best Game which this year goes to…Baldur’s Gate 3 ✨✨✨

With days to go till we unleash Baldur’s Gate 3 upon the world: thank you to our Early Access community. Your fan art, creations & feedback have sustained us throughout development, and we couldn’t have done this without you.
We can’t wait to see what you create next.

Merry Christmas to everyone who has enjoyed the company of the BG 3 party (and friends... and enemies... and frenemies).
And thank you for all of the wonderful art - it's the greatest gift we could ask for. 💝
Overwhelmed by the response. Seeing your characters, reading about their adventures… it’s fantastic.
I’ll have coherent thoughts on it all soon, but not yet.
One of her most courageous moments. When you have been taught that any vulnerability is a fatal weakness, choosing not to run from what makes you vulnerable is truly heroic.
Gale: I'm glad to know you have a softer side Minthara. I was beginning to think you rather heartless.
Minthara: Loving another is not soft, wizard. It is one of the hardest things a person can do.
Gale: SO YOU ADMIT YOU FOUND LOVE, oh how delightful. I'm happy for you both.
We’re off to #PAXWest next week and bringing with us the one and only @LarAtLarian, Art Director @AlenaDubrovina, Director of Design @NickPechenin, Writing Director @noneconomical, and @tehmavis - the Cinematic Artist of a certain scene with a bear. Moderated by our Senior Communications Developer @aoifeLockhart.
Drop by our booth in the Arch Expo Hall and watch out for the panel on Friday!
Ilona made it to a train out of Kharkiv tonight. It’s a long, crowded journey - no seats, no movement, potentially 22 hours. Hearing she was on board is my first smile in a week.
Every moment of happiness this game brings makes my heart burn brighter.
It means the world to me and so does everyone who is a part of it, Larian peeps and players alike.
Thank you from the fiery infernal engine we keep in place of our heart. ❤️🔥 We couldn't have asked for a better response to Baldur's Gate 3.
Patch 3 is coming September 21 with full support for BG3 on Mac.

It's been emotional. I've loved being part of RPS and it's been a big part of me for more than half a decade. Gonna miss it. More on the next adventure soon.
One of these pictures is my wife. I no longer know which.
Happy new year everybody! Especially @rolling_is_life who has been my rock through this most incredible year. ❤️❤️❤️
Last night was amazing.
Thanks to everyone at BAFTA who organised a great event, and to everyone who watched, in-person or online.
It was so much fun and meeting developers, students and fans afterwards was wonderful. So much creative energy and fire.
Every time Geoff speaks to camera, he has magically appeared at a different part of the theatre and I get confused and spend twenty seconds trying to figure out where he is.
I feel like one time he’s going to jump scare me by materialising directly behind me.
"By my oath, you will not fall."
I love this. It's the side of Minthara a lot of people haven't seen - she'd take an arrow, bullet or blade for you once you have her trust.

Haven't smoked since Boxing Day. It's not a long time, I know, but I'm planting a marker here to recognise the achievement of having avoided temptation during New Year, holidays, and a stressful weekend that also included a pub visit.
the most successful people I’ve met:
1) shalt be kings hereafter
2) see daggers before them
3) murdered sleep
4) with false face hide what false heart doth show
5) strut and fret their hour upon the stage
6) have supped full with horrors
7) mind full of scorpions
8) dirty hands
Instead of making Baldur's Gate 4, Larian is working on 2 new projects based on its own IPs, and CEO Swen Vincke reckons it'll result in the studio's 'best work ever'. trib.al/Izo81j4
It's always an odd feeling the night before #TheGameAwards -- our team has worked for almost an entire year on this show. So many amazing creators have come from around the world to share their work.
Some of them are nervous. Unsure. But hopefully you LOVE what you see.
Anyone who knows me, including my friends at larian, knows I get emotional and sentimental often. Today, I'm so damn proud of every person at larian. Many feelings.. So much love. We're building something amazing and some of you just saw the beginning. ❤️❤️
PSA: this guy is a quest-giver, not a boss. Do not harm him! He alone knows where the gateway to Atlantis can be found, and will mark the location of the three haunted shipwrecks on your map if you bring him 15 Gourmet Chum.
To have not just a 5-BAFTA-winning game, but to bring the creative director, two lead writers, five incredible actors and the composer together in one night was really something very special that I can't quite believe we just did 😅

PSA - healing a downed party member gets them back on their feet, and is usually more efficient than helping them. That should be a last resort if no healing is available.
Sometimes it’s best to let them take another hit rather than healing them when they have a handful of hp.
Huge congrats to @LarAtLarian@larianstudios@baldursgate3 for the #NebulaAward for Game Writing in Pasadena last night. It was an honor to be a finalist on your side. Thank you @sfwa for having us and having videogames as a category in your awards. The event was beautiful.

With two very ambitious RPGs now starting development, what better way to see our visions realised than by growing the team and opening a 7th studio in the heart of Poland’s lively gaming scene!
Welcome, Larian Studios Warsaw!
