Don’t like ur HS coach, transfer. Don’t like ur JUCO coach, transfer. Don’t play enough at a school, transfer. Don’t like my travel team, jump ship. Don’t like my role, quit. What on Gods green earth are we teaching our kids. Stop it. Be resilient, plant roots, and fight.
Coastal Carolina is what college baseball is supposed to be.
They didn't buy it.
They developed it.
Kevin Schnall and his staff are as good as it gets.

How many fans attend travel ball tournaments? Very few. My point? 95% of people at the park are parents and/or coaches. Charging parents a gate fee, parking fee, etc is ridiculous. Theyve already paid the travel org to play and the travel org paid YOU.
Players! STOP announcing offers on social media! It's DISRESPECTFUL to the school and coaches that offered you. The "blessed to receive an offer from" is HOT GARBAGE!!! If you felt so damn blessed, you'd be announcing you're committed to that school. You're doing it for ATTENTION
Upperclassman-Your job is to be a leader! Help the younger guys! Your role is NOT, I repeat NOT to be the cool guy that makes the underclassman's lives miserable. Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program the RIGHT WAY!

Winning a HS state championship is SPECIAL! The players go to school with each other in most cases for years, parents know each other, and it means something to the community. HS athletics bring people together and form a bond forever. HS athletics can't be replaced.
PSA...Players...Skipping your HS teams spring break tournament to go on vacation with your family, isn't an option. I can't believe this even needs to be said, but it does.
I'm a Deion and Colorado fan. 100%.
I believe Deion is one of the most impactful hires in the history of college football and will turn Colorado into a contender. He fills seats, generates enormous revenue and can recruit nationally.
But this needs to be said.
Colorado's journey this year is a perfect example of the value of humility. They started good, were braggadocios, wanted every bit of attention they could get and Shedeur gave other teams enough bulletin board material to fill hundreds of boards. Now they're getting their noses rubbed in it, and teams are mocking the Buffs and Shedeur.
Lesson to be learned is: Say very little when you get beat and even less when you win.
Parents..if you have a problem with your kids HS coach, check these boxes before complaining. 1. Does my kid spend 10 hrs a week doing extra work? 2. Does my son pound the weights? 3. Does my son want this as bad as me? 4. Has my son performed? 5. Does my son compete in practice
Omaha Bound
Wonder what their baseball budget, coaching salaries and NIL allotment look like compared to the P5's.
Incredible by Dan Skirka, his staff and players.

A person(dude) with male anatomy won the NCAA women's swimming national championship. It is disgraceful to every person with female anatomy (biological females) that compete in women's athletics. It is sickening and evil! Respect and protect real female athletes! They deserve it!
Why would a player in any sport want to represent a country they don't respect? Taking a knee on the world stage, representing a country you can't even stand for, is the ultimate sign of overflowing ignorance and disrespect.
HS Athletes...your job on campus is to bring students together. Be a role model, not the funny guy! Don't be the bully...be the dude that stops the bullies, and makes people look forward to coming to school instead of dreading it. Go the extra mile to help others!!
Don’t like ur HS coach, transfer! Don’t like ur JUCO coach, transfer! Don’t play enough at a school, transfer! Don’t like ur travel team, find a new one! Don’t like ur role, quit! What on God's green earth are we teaching our kids? Stop it! Be resilient, plant roots, and fight.
Incoming College Freshman....Remember, nobody in that locker room gives a damn about what u did in HS or Travel Ball. Now u better be ready to EARN your respect, with your makeup, work ethic, toughness and performance. Keep ur mouth shut and work your ass off.

Hitters...Refuse to strikeout!!! Spread out, choke up, take the plate away, grit your freaking teeth, and COMPETE!!! It's a COMPETITION!!! It's YOU vs the man on the mound!!! It's personal!!!
If MLB doesn't believe enough in starting a runner at 2B (like travel ball) in extra innings in the playoffs, they shouldn't do it in the regular season.
I'm really sick of hearing the coach bullying players bullshit. If parents attended every Clemson/Bama FB practice, Duke/NC/Michigan State basketball practice and power D1 baseball practices, they would be shocked. Coaches are molding WINNERS, not soft ass dudes that give in.

From a very good college head coach
"Corbin actually told all the guys from his roster last year that they should go in the portal if they wanted NIL money because they would never do it at Vandy - he pushed guys out- got rid of the selfish people #BOSS Awesome stuff - but definitely a unique place in this shit show we have now"
High School Athletics weren't designed for 20–21-year olds and College Athletics weren't designed for 25–27-year olds. Time to get back to college athletics being for the traditional freshman-seniors with a red-shirt year.
What Champions consider coaching is what the entitled consider abuse. Parents...if your son is gonna be great, he will take some ass chewings along the way. Get ready!

Junior College is the right choice for the majority of HS players! Get 100% instead of 35%,D-1 and draft options remain open, immediate playing time,2 seasons(spring-fall),coaches not restricted on time spent with players, smaller classes, learn to grind @jucoroute
This dude sat on stage last night and looked directly into the camera and lied.
P5 athletics has become a sleaze fest.
A lot of coaches and players are chasing every last penny and could care a damn less about loyalty or honor.
Not to mention all the damn tampering, coaches are doing to each other, like shady back alley salesmen.
A lot of these coaches can't even impersonate a man of character and honor.
Every pitcher in America wants a dude like this catching them.
He knew it was a strike and took up for his pitcher.
It was "real" heat of the moment and genuine.
Coaches need to have players backs, and players need to have each other's backs.
Time and place for everything.
On average a varsity HC in the state of Florida receives a stipend of $2500 to coach. Most will spend an average of 600 hrs with their players in the spring and fall. In essence they get paid about $4.00 per hour. KEEP UR COMPLAINTS TO YOURSELF. Thank ur kids HS coach.
Demar woke up and wrote "who won the game" on a piece of paper. Don't ever let anyone tell you there isn't power in prayer! So many took a knee to pray for a wonderful young man, and God delivered! It's time to get the word of God back in our society. Keep fighting Demar!

1 in 5! 20% of D-1 baseball players are now in the transfer portal! Something is WRONG! Something is really WRONG! The NCAA, coaches, players and parents have created an absolute mess. This is NOT what collegiate athletics were designed to be! This is NOT sustainable!
Upperclassman-Your job is to be a leader! Help the younger guys! Your role is NOT, I repeat NOT to be the cool guy that makes the underclassman's lives miserable. Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program the RIGHT WAY!

Let this sink in. 78% of baseball players that commit to a D-1 school before the completion of their sophomore yr of HS, either get their scholarship rescinded or transfer after year 1. Scary stuff but FACTS don't LIE. Social media has caused a mad dash to commit!

The majority of HS players should sign juco. Why? 24 scholarships vs 11.7, Immediate playing time, draft eligible, smaller classes, 2 seasons(fall and spring), coaches not restricted on time spent with players, D1 options stay open, learn to grind! #jucoroute
Players....Big difference between Thanks and Thank You. Get in the habit of using highly respectful vocabulary. Eliminate, man-dude-yea-nah-etc. from your vocabulary when talking to coaches/teachers/adults/etc. Being respectful is an all the time thing.
$323 dollars for a ticket to watch Tennessee in their regional. Flat out disgusting! What is happening to college athletics? 11.7 scholarships and a volunteer coach and ticket prices are over $300...something doesn't add up!
A team that backs up bases, commands the zone, takes gritty at bats, runs the bases smart and hard, makes the routine play look routine and loves playing the game is usually hard to beat. These things dont require the best players, but do require the right players.
Parents...your role at games. 1. Support your son 2. Support your son's teammates 3. Support your son's coaches 4. Treat the opponent, their fans and the umpires with respect 5. Encourage other parents to do the same. 6. Let the coaches do the coaching

Discussion.
Trevor Bauer is worth 30 million a year.
He is willing to play for the league minimum.
Over a 29 million dollar discount.
He was accused of terrible things and exonerated.
A lot of publications clearly state the accuser lied.
He has maintained his innocence.
He may have (I don't know) made bad decisions off the field but has not been found guilty.
Does he deserve another chance?
Alot of juco/NAIA assistants make very little $. At the same time they work extremely hard. Most recruit, do field work, do laundry, get to practice first-leave last, and spend an enormous amount of time trying to help the program. Juco assistants deserve alot of APPRECIATION.
I'm really sick of hearing the coach bullying player's bullshit. If parents attended every Georgia/Bama FB practice, Duke/Kansas/Michigan State basketball practice and power D1 baseball practices, they would be shocked. Coaches are molding WINNERS, not soft ass dudes that give in
PITCHERS...IF you can't throw strikes...YOU can't PITCH! It doesn't matter how hard you throw or how good your breaking ball is...IF you can't throw strikes...YOU can't PITCH! Being a competitor has a lot to do with throwing strikes!
All you travel ball coaches letting your players act like fools...bat flips, arguing with umpires, cussing, running their mouths, throwing equipment etc...REMEMBER TENNESSEE!

Tennessee makes it impossible to respect the way they handle their business. I was a fan earlier in the year, but the more I watched them, it became impossible!
College Freshman
1. Pick the right kids on the team to hang around
2. DO NOT get involved with the party crowd
3. Get to sleep at a reasonable time every night
4. Don't go home until Thanksgiving if school isn't in your hometown/area (plant roots and make new friends)
5. Do more than expected, be engaged and earn respect with work ethic and maturity
Remember, nobody cares what you did in HS/Travel Ball, if you were drafted or who scouted you. You're starting over. You have to earn respect.
I hope I'm wrong...but, with the lockdowns and mask mandates coming after January 20th, I would expect college and HS baseball seasons to be in major jeopardy. Just heard from a parent of a college player that they've already had games cancelled. LET THE DAMN KIDS PLAY!!!!
A team that backs up bases, commands the zone, takes gritty at bats, runs the bases smart and hard, makes the routine play look routine and loves playing the game is usually hard to beat. These things don't require the "so called" best players but do require the RIGHT players.
Why Juco? 100% scholarship(most cases) vs 25-35% scholarship. 2 seasons(fall and spring), immediate playing time(most cases), smaller classes, less restrictions on coaches time spent with players, draft options open, learn to grind.
Fall baseball is over for most! November-December-January can change the trajectory of your baseball career! If you will commit yourself to heavy lifting/conditioning/caloric intake and outworking everyone in the country...people will stop sleeping on you. It's up to YOU!
Upperclassmen
Your job is to be a leader.
Help the younger players.
Your role is not, I repeat, not to be the cool guy that makes the underclassmen's lives miserable.
Represent yourself, your parents, your coaches, and your program like a champion.
Keep the line moving.
Players in their 6th, 7th, 8th year of college baseball are simply wasting time and stealing opportunities from younger players.
Either be good enough to play professional baseball or go get a job.
Players should have 5 years to play 4, period.
The Pavia juco eligibility ruling will allow Osuna to play a 6th season that will ultimately take an opportunity from a younger player.
Why Juco? 100% scholarship (most cases) vs 25% scholarship. 2 seasons (fall and spring), immediate playing time (most cases), smaller classes, less restrictions on coach's time spent with players, draft options open, learn to grind.
Listen...parents...if your son dominates 12u baseball because he's simply bigger and more physically mature than his opponents, you better keep it in perspective. Or you will RUIN your child's mind. Baseball really starts on the big field!
HS Athletes...your job on campus is to bring students together. Be a role model, not the funny guy! Don't be the bully...be the dude that stops the bullies, and makes people look forward to coming to school instead of dreading it. Go the extra mile to help others!!
Players. How you warm up before the game tells scouts a lot about you. Simply watching u play catch is very important. Throwing and catching are the 2 most important aspects of playing the game at a high level.

Joe Burrow was a 3-star coming out of HS!! All the guru recruiting service dudes grossly missed on the MAKEUP, WORK ETHIC, TOUGHNESS and MATURITY! Rankings don't mean SHIT!!
Playing with energy...Is NOT being a cheerleader in the dugout! It IS, backing up bases, running balls out, taking hard turns, taking the extra base, communicating in the field, breaking up double plays and being locked in, focused, motivated and DETERMINED!
Umpire and coach throwing blows at the PG tournament in Atlanta. The people attacking umpires need to go to JAIL...they need to be ARRESTED! Absolutely no place for this shit in athletics...keeping things in perspective is too hard for trashy people.

Karma...Texas had a dude drinking in the bullpen this week, then a dude bat flips last night with the bat almost landing on the freaking mound! Today...they got their asses swept at South Carolina. Stay hot Texas!
Regional action in college baseball...stadiums are full as always, tv money rolling in, and the sport generating millions of dollars!! The players are paying to play(11.7 split between the roster) and every program has a volunteer coach on staff. Time for some damn changes
Players...PLEASE take a few minutes and listen to this! Patti Gasso...now I know why you're doing what you're doing with so much success, why it's so extraordinary, and why the culture is so dynamic.
So many colleges are so busy with the radar gun, exit velocity machines, PG rankings, Spin rate bullshit, stop watches, launch angle bullshit, they forget to actually sign WINNERS that can play the DAMN GAME and COMPETE like junk yard dogs.
600+ kids entered the transfer portal TODAY. The system isn't broken, it's shattered! This is NOT what college athletics were designed to be! Coaches (not all) aren't loyal to players and players (not all) aren't loyal to coaches/schools. It has to change!
For all the HS coaches out there scheduling the best competition, hats off to you! Going 18-8 vs the big boys is better that going 25-1 vs the bunnies! Iron sharpens Iron!
