tonight i got to attend the first public performance of @edsheeran’s latest record, subtract — one he’s been working on since his first one, plus.
subtract is such a beautiful and vulnerable expression of ed’s last few chapters of life with an album closer that pays such beautiful homage to plus — the parting glass.
this record will resonate so deeply with anyone who may be experiencing grief or mourning a significant loss but more than that, this album will be there for those who will experience these hardships, and others, in the future. it’s because of this that i know what a priceless gift ed has given us — and for that, i know i will always be grateful.
