Ma’am unemployment. The deadly pandemic. The excelsior pass. All workers deserve a fair wage but you need 2 to 3 jobs to even get an apartment in the city. People are being thrown out their homes and dying on the streets.

Due to the timing it took to get everything licensed it was the middle of the grow season. To navigate this some (not all) cultivates chose to grow autoflowers which are less potent and grow smaller than traditional photoperiod cannabis.

The NorthEast is the next big cash grab for these MSOs and they’re paying everyone off to get there. Most of the conditional license holders in NY don’t even meet the qualifications but their applications were still approved. Grey Market is going to the only place for legacy.

Then combined with that fact that some cultivars bought their licenses and aren’t experienced with growing cannabis the first couple crops won’t be great. NYS really dropped the ball by only licensing pay to play cultivators instead of legacy growers (which include myself)
