When Bloomberg reported that the NYSE was saying that @BillAckman's IPO was "postponed," Adkman was quick to issue a press release that he posted was "correcting false and misleading press reports" and saying the IPO would go ahead but gave no time limit. He also said he had learned not to trust the media, which his followers on Twitter lapped up. Now the IPO has been pulled. It wasn't the media's fault. We deserve an apology. I would not write this publicly about most hedge fund managers that I cover, but I known Bill well and took this personally.
