One simple reason: people don't value artists the same way they did back then, and artists need to eat. Most of these sculptures (and the most impressive works of art in general) were commissioned by wealthy families, nobles, emperors, etc. Not to mention, many of these artists were born in favorable conditions. See, let's talk about these sculptures: 1: David of Michelangelo. Michelangelo's father was the town's judicial administrator. His family was bankers for generations (albeit smaller banks, still far above "peasants"). Later in life, he moved to Florence, which was basically the place to study arts. Art, in general, was really favored by the wealthy there: the council, merchants, and other rich people. Need I say more about his incredibly beneficial circumstances? 2: Abduction of Proserpina, by Gian Lorenzo Bernini. This was commissioned by the Cardinal Scipione Borghese. I could end the argument here, but his father always encouraged him in his pursuit for art, and he even got various patrons from an early age. Are you beginning to see the pattern here? 3: Corradini's Modesty. I don't know much about Corradini, but he also had various patrons. Curious, huh? 4: Ugolino and His Sons, by Jean-Baptiste Carpeaux. Jean had access to some of the best education he could get. His first studies were under François Rude, a famous sculptor at the time. I think it's enough, right? The fact is that back then, the wealthy were more than willing to throw a fuck ton of money at artists, and they were willing to wait YEARS to get masterpieces. Compare this to now, where people barely want to pay you 10 USD/h and expect masterpieces in 2 weeks. Hell, even if your work is among the best in history, odds are, you're never gonna find a patron. Sure, PATREON is a thing, but even then, people are barely able to afford a 3$ monthly subscription for each artist they would like to support. When they are able to, they would also need to be willing to, and there aren't that many people who are both willing and with stable enough condition to support us. Yeah, I would probably be capable of making a sculpture like this, and I definitely can make highly detailed oil paintings. The thing is: it's not worth it, because at the end of the day, I need to eat, and I can't eat if I am working on something that can take years without getting paid anything for it; or being paid as little that it might as well be for free.

I've been meaning to say this for a while: I find it funny how Opera GX does everything you're told NOT to do in marketing and social media classes and make them look like clowns by being the ones who actually succeed in connecting with their audience.

I didn't mention, but the fact that I am PUNISHED for spending lots of time on a single piece also doesn't help. My best performing artworks are the ones I spent 2 to 5 hours. The ones I spent 50h, 80h+ never come close. Not on social medias, and def not on the monetary aspect.

I have severe ADHD and I spent my entire life feeling useless, like I would never accomplish anything at all because of this disability. I couldn't keep jobs, I couldn't study, I could do NOTHING until I started treatment. Seriously, I barely had anything to eat for long periods of my life. I was always poor as fuck and I never, EVER, got the support of anyone. On the contrary, I was always put down by others because no one fucking understands just how much this fucking disability can fuck you over. And that's JUST THE BEGINNING. Don't talk to me about being born in the right body, right place, or right family, or being given tools, time, or support to pursue my dreams. I was never given any of that. I had to work so fucking hard, ten times as much because of ADHD, depression and all that comes with it, plus my limited physical conditions. I had to give up any hopes of having friends or relationships of any kind, really, to pursue the hope of being able to accomplish ANYTHING in my life. But hey, I think I can draw alright now.
for every artist you respect who is 'anti-NFT' or 'anti-AI' there are a thousand people who can't be an artist because they weren't born in the right body, right place, or right family to pursue art and never given the tools, time, or support to believe in their own dreams IMO it's worth a few insufferable tech bros if it means millions of everyday people are gifted the capability to do what they previously thought was impossible, to actualize what would have stayed a dream, and I think that's the most human thing we can do for each other taking a stand against something is the easiest way to forfeit your ability to shape it into something better

If she told me she wanted to destroy my skull with her thighs, I would drop on my knees immediately. I wouldn't even hesitate. As long as in my last breath my head is in between those thighs, I would die happy

This entire argument falls flat when you have enough common sense to realize that a pendulum doesn't require billions of stolen artwork to function 💀
So, if the person generating an AI image supposedly isn’t its creator as many Ai art critics claim, what about pendulum art? or many other artforms that utilize automatic processes where the creator set’s up certain prompts and guides but does nothing during the actual formation of the artwork? They sit back and watch a system they set up, play out automatically. In pendulum art and other automatic artistic processes we still acknowledge the human who initiated the process that would result in an artwork, as the creator, and owner of the copyright of that artwork, but many claim this suddenly doesn’t apply when utilizing Ai generators in the same way as I explain in this clip from my recently released video on the YouTube channel SHAD_AI where I reveal many ways in which AI art CAN be protected by copyright.

I've been playing Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, and the only flaw I found so far is that the dev studio is French. Granted, that is a MASSIVE flaw, but still... I've come to realize that now I expect indies/small studios to release games that not only look on par with AAA titles, but that often look BETTER and have FAR SUPERIOR performance. 60 frames, no frame drops, great gameplay, aesthetics, and music. This feels very much like a game made by westerns who love classic JRPGs and understand WHY they are great.

People are getting mad at Suzi for zero reason. I understand being mad about the MTX. They're stupid, and performance issues are fair, but you all doing this shit are just stupid. Dragon's Dogma 2 is genuinely an amazing game. It is on par with Elden Ring and Baldur's Gate 3. You all are simply self-sabotaging by not playing it. You're truly missing out just to be mad. Now, outside of performance issues (that not everyone will have, btw. I'm only having issues in cities, but exploring is fine, and its where you spend most of your time anyway), people are just yapping about literally useless MTX that, mind you, you'd be far better NOT PURCHASING AT ALL since the game is not in any way balanced around them. They are LITERALLY USELESS. YOU GET EVERYTHING IN GAME. YOU MISS NOTHING. IN FACT, YOU LOSE THE FUN OF THE GAME BY PURCHASING ANYTHING EXTRA. Yes, pushback against Capcom. Yes, don't buy the MTX because it will make your experience worse, but don't harass people who actually enjoy the game the way it is meant to be enjoyed. You guys really need to start using that brain of yours, jeez.
Since I'm not paying for Twitter, I'll just leave this comment I pinned to my latest DD2 video here. These are my thoughts on all that's happened over night. idk what to say anymore.
