True story:
Years back, two houses down dude in my neighborhood wanted to paint his house a set color scheme, the HOA said "Nope, those are not in the approved color list..." and banned him from doing it.
So he read the HOA agreement carefully. Including the list of the 64 approved colors. Brown, gray, light tan, blue, white... All sorts of colors in that list of 64 approved colors.
Then he went out and bought a single gallon of each of the 64 colors and painted his house board by board all 64 colors.
Friends, it was hideous.
When the HOA raised hell, he pointed to the language in the contract, said "Nowhere does this say I cannot do this. So, either approve my request, or it stays like this," and walked out like an OG gangsta. You haven't seen a mic drop like that one.
The HOA caved and approved, I bought the guy a bottle of expensive whisky and we drank it in his driveway... In violation of the HOA rules. Because f**k them Karens.
