The Israel supporter responses to this tweet are astonishing. The slightest hint of critique on literal genocide that is happening with the support of the US seemingly can't go uncriticized in the tech establishment. The twisting of Paul's words and the lengths in argument and rhetoric that these supporters go to legitimize their own insane takes and opinions makes me sad and unhopeful. There is something deeply deeply wrong and sad going on when people taking a stance against genocide are not being amplified by their peers but criticized and silenced. Fortunately Paul has a character that is pretty much immune to being silenced. We need more of those voices today.
Extremists on both sides share one tactic: to treat Israel and Jews as identical. This is where we must draw the line. We can't allow disagreement with Israeli policy to devolve into attacks on Jews. And we can't allow those who criticize Israeli policy to be called antisemitic.

Went to a local computer store to pick up a mouse Some kid and his dad were there. Kid told the clerk he wanted to build his own computer. The clerk told him he advised against that because so many things could go wrong. Thankfully the kid persisted.

Apple trying to prevent unionization
EXCLUSIVE: We got an inside look at contract negotiations at the first Apple store to unionize. The picture is damning for a company that claims its “soul is our people.” Apple has stalled for 2 years while cracking down on unionized workers, forcing around 50 to leave.

I became the secretary of the executive board and we have some exciting plans for the new year - writing in the papers and on social media can only take you so far. This is objectively true. Not opinion. Legally, structurally a sound truth about nature of "national debt".
For currency-issuing governments, bonds are a policy choice, not an economic imperative. You can prune the debt tree by leaving reserve balances in the system (as central bank liabilities) instead of forcing them to convert to government bonds (liabilities of Treasury). 1/2 on.ft.com/3UaSCEa

I was not aware just how Anti-China the rhetoric from EU leaders has become. Came across Denmark PM's New Year's Speech and was struck by this quote: "They say the U.S. innovates, China copies, and the EU regulates." — Mette Frederiksen This oversimplified narrative reflects how far some EU leaders have strayed from reality. China is now a global leader in innovation (e.g. renewables, NEV’s, AI, 5G). Such rhetoric undermines Europe's strategic autonomy and perpetuates a false dichotomy that serves neither truth nor peace. Furthermore, Mette claims "without Chinese support, Russia would not be able to attack Europe the way they are." This is a baseless assertion. There is no credible evidence that China is providing military support to Russia in Ukraine. In fact, China has consistently called for dialogue and a political solution to the conflict. This kind of unfounded rhetoric only deepens divisions and distracts from the real challenges of achieving global stability.
