There’s a few things I’d like to share this morning which I’ll preface with two key points.
- I’ve only been a @doodles holder since December of last year.
- Each statement listed below relates to a different individual, there’s no overlap.
Key team members have;
- Taken time to review my portfolio and offered ongoing feedback.
- Requested custom art from myself multiple times and continually liked / shared almost everything.
- Offered a platform for me to introduce myself and speak in front of a live audience repeatedly.
- Reached out personally to collect work for display on the official website and engineered my involvement.
- Shared words of encouragement completely out of the blue both publicly and in my DM’s.
- Offered advice on protecting my future as a creator.
- Elevated my work by Re-Tweeting it on the official Doodles account more than once.
- Requested to speak on Zoom (or similar) and asked for my thoughts and opinions.
- And ultimately, offered new friendships amongst other things.
None of these people owed me anything and 99% of these interactions took place outside of traditional working hours.
To the individuals mentioned above, keep on doing what you’re doing.
