This is a true story. I was in San Francisco a couple years ago, and got to talking to our Uber driver. He was a friendly Romanian dude. He asked me about work and we started talking ball. He told me his daughter was going to play college basketball. “She must be good!” I said.

After games, our team sends content (photos, video, etc) to the players. After the win tonight we sent a pic to Zach LaVine of himself shooting the game winner. He replied asking for shots of him celebrating with his teammates instead. Think that says a lot. 💪🏽

So a year or 2 ago @TheNikkoTan wanted to get better at photography. He bought a camera and called up a local high school and asked if they’d let him shoot games so he could practice on his off nights. He’s now getting shots like this regularly. Success is not an accident.

I’ve learned more from Dan than any single person in my entire career. He’s one of the most dynamic people in sports and he built teams at the Bulls that will ensure his impact lasts long after his departure. We will miss him greatly, but can’t wait to see what he builds next 👀
After 7.5 seasons I’m leaving the @chicagobulls.. bittersweet doesn’t quite do it justice. It’s been an amazing place to work with a phenomenal fan base and a remarkable group of colleagues. It’s been a dream job and one that I can’t quite believe I’m about to leave!

A massive gust of wind just blew through Chicago as everybody in the city simultaneously breathes a sigh of relief
Zach LaVine underwent an MRI this morning which revealed no significant structural damage to his left knee.
LaVine has begun targeted therapy and will be reassessed early next week when a more definitive timetable will be determined.
He is not expected to miss significant time.
