👋 hi, I’m a tech lead at @Disney. I’ve been part of the recruiting process for companies large & small from university to sr level.
I’ve offered free resume reviews in the past here on Twitter & I’m opening my DMs once again 🎉
Send me your resume (PDF) & let’s get you hired!
✨ BIG NEWS ✨
Next week is my last week at Microsoft!
I’ll be moving to an awesome startup focused on railway 🚂 AI as a senior UX engineer!
I’m so pumped to craft design systems, architect their frontend, and shape a brand new product 😍
I’m starting a resume review service to give back to the community ✨ 📝
I was involved in recruiting for @Microsoft during my time there so I know what companies are looking for! 👀
Anyone have tips for starting one up? I was thinking a weekly / monthly review through DMs!
Why do I work in tech?
So I can help my chosen family get closer to the life they deserve 💕
My mom’s partner is like a dad to me. He’s a great person who’s been dealt a shitty hand. Today, I bought him and my mom the Jeep they’ve always wanted. ✨
What poor person habit are you still trying to break now that your income is stable?
I'll go first - re-wearing clothes for as long as possible to avoid washing them and wearing down the fabric because you can't afford to buy more clothes.
Women in tech are so powerful.
We slay at our technical roles (whether dev, infosec, devops, design, etc!) while still dealing with sexism and creepy men in tech.
Shoutout to my tech ladies 💕

can’t find them?
that’s because Latinxs don’t all have the same skin tone and I’m tired of being confused for a white person

Do you love trains 🚂? Do you want to work with me at an awesome startup that cares about its employees?
We're looking to hire a junior / mid-level frontend dev in Seattle ❤️ You should have exp. in React, redux, & TS, but also be eager to learn!
Reply / DM to get connected
I have pink hair. I have multiple visible tattoos. I have multiple non-traditional visible piercings. I have stretched ears.
And I’m a badass engineer who gets shit done.
You can be yourself and be in tech. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise 💕
Are you shy or have social anxiety (like me)?
Speak at a conference!
You’ll have plenty of time to rehearse exactly what to say and then people will approach YOU with conversations instead of you feeling like you have to come up with small talk ✨
Why am I in tech?
I can take extended time off and surprise visit my family who lives across the country. I know I can take care of them if anything were to happen.
Tech gives me financial freedom and flexibility. It’s okay to be in it for these reasons.
It's amazing what a great manager can pull together so quickly 🎉💖
After a few years of getting passed over for my senior promo because I was "too frontend focused", I've officially made it.
Got my personal machine and new work machine set up 🎉
The work machine has 8 fans, so fingers crossed I can run @SlackHQ without it burning up.
Thanks @camerontomisser 😇
Does it creep anyone else out when people refer to tech / programming things as sexy?
I’m all for being open about your sexuality, but in a professional setting (esp in a field where non-males are the minority), it feels gross and skeevy 🤮
My favorite part about looking white and not having an accent is white people trying to trick you into admitting you’re white.
Whenever I say I’m Brazilian, I get:
But are your parents from there? Yes
But were you born there? Yes
But do you speak Portuguese? Yes
Thank you for being an amazing professor and human being. I’m having major hand surgery tomorrow and asked my professor to open an online quiz early for me so I could take before my surgery. He dragged his feet and finally opened it 6 hours early….
I guess now is as good a time as any to update my last name and introduce myself 😅
I’m a frontend engineer focused on usable, accessible, and beautiful products.
I have two wonderful dogs, a husband who can do literally anything, and a project Miata.
I struggled w flexbox forever, until I took this course: mastery.games/p/flexbox-zomb…
disclaimer: not my course, etc, etc. I just really liked it and it was FREE 🎉
Hi new followers 👋
I was offline camping this weekend and came back to a viral tweet and 2k new friends 💕
A bit about me:
I tweet mostly about JS, web dev, design, accessibility, and mechanical keyboards 👩💻
I also shitpost (see viral tweet) so thx for putting up with me 💕
Ew no. This guy stalked her to find Instagram and GitHub accounts from just seeing her dating profile. And then used a *professional* networking site to ask her out. There’s nothing cute or respectful about that.
I’m 2.5 months into my role at Disney and had the opportunity to participate in my org’s hackathon. My team won “most inventive” and I really hope we can bring this to life in production in 2025!
My feature team lead told me today I was ramping up so fast and he’s so happy. It’s day 6 on the team for me and I felt like I hadn’t gotten a lot done until he told me that. Outside prespective is so useful for imposter syndrome ❤️
It’s SO important to recognize that accessibility goes beyond those with permanent disabilities.
If you’re design isn’t accessible, you’re excluding a HUGE range of users.
It just hit me that I've been coding for over a decade and I still accidentally test prod instead of my local build and wonder why things aren't working.
Classic move.
Doesn’t admit to doing anything wrong. Doesn’t apologize. Says he “would have” felt embarrassed and apologized if he’d seen her reaction.
How about y’all men keep your hands to yourselves and stop helping yourselves to women & blaming their outfits.
The man accused of slapping @wsavalexb's backside while she was on the air is telling his side of the story.
In an interview with @InsideEdition, 43-year-old Tommy Callaway says he went to wave to the camera and got caught up in the moment.
ALT Text conversation:
> other person: "why do you like keyboards so much?"
> me: "I'm glad you asked"
> me: sends an audio recording clip that 6 hours long
Couldn’t have asked for a better last week at Microsoft than hearing from the one and only Adam Savage 👏
This man is one of the biggest reasons I grew up tinkering with everything and am an engineering today 💕
We’re on month 5 (???) of quarantine and I’m finally getting a decent desk setup 🥺
Missing: botanical deskmat, Discipline keyboard with KAT Milkshake (sooooon)
Super excited to solder the Discipline board on the desk with my new lamp 🔥
Excited and scared to start my new job tomorrow!
It’s been a great 1.5 months traveling around, but now it’s time to buckle down and create beautiful UIs and learn a heck-ton 💕
A friend of mine is looking for a new gig! She's a great dev and all-around awesome person 🥰
She's a mid-level #React developer looking for fullstack / frontend React work. Remote preferred.
Pls DM me if you know of something and I can put you in touch!
💕 RT for reach! 💕
I’m chronically ill and I hit my out of pocket maximum every. single. year. Usually within the first 3 months of the year.
That’s $3,000/yr I can’t save or spend on vacations or nice things or whatever else people spend extra money on.
New research finds that people with disabilities require on average 28 percent MORE income to meet the same standard of living their non-disabled counterparts enjoy.
Based on America’s median income, that’s nearly $18,000.

Hello 👋
I have depression & anxiety, among other chronic illnesses. I’ve struggled with this my whole life, but didn’t get help until a few years ago. I generally look okay from the outside and feel guilty about my chemical imbalance bc my life is “good” #WorldMentalHealthDay
Update: I've managed to get myself into this weird state with @code where running `code .` from my terminal brings up... nothing. I've seen this before and can't remember how I fixed it 😬
It’s been a journey at @Microsoft these last ~4 years. Leaving my team is certainly bittersweet - they’ve empowered me to grow, challenge myself, and become the technical leader I am today.
I’m excited to tackle new challenges at @Disney, but first - a much deserved break ❤️
Closing in on week 2 at @Disney! There’s so much to learn and I’m soaking it all in 🥰
I’ve loved how welcoming and helpful everyone is, how much automation and dev tooling exists, and how much opportunity for impact I have ❤️
A reminder to my dev friends:
“Junior” dev isn’t a derogatory title. There’s nothing wrong with being a junior dev.
All devs are learning and growing. All devs should have a drive for learning. But there’s some skills that take time to develop and come with experience. 💕
Work at places you’ll gain experience and will be valued instead of focusing on “big names”.
Work at a company for at least a few years before moving to freelancing so you can learn and grow from other developers daily.
Never be the smartest person in the room.
