I was a Dem activist in NYC in the 1970s/early80s. Here's the process. Mamdani won the Dem primary. There will be a general election that will include him, Adams (the present mayor) as an indie, and Curtis Sliwa, the GOP candidates. Curtis will take the Orthodox Jewish vote in Brooklyn, where he is known. He was instrumental in resolving the Crown Heights crisis and was close to the Rebbe. He is not a Jew, but his wife and kids are. He remains a presence in that community, with visits to 770, as mobs of pro-terror monsters have descended on the community and has been a presence since the attacks on Orthodox Jews started long before October 7. If Adams pulls out, Sliwa can win. Adams can't win, IMHO. If Mamdani becomes mayor, I think every Jew should vacate NYC.

You know what else cracks me up? In Arab culture, women do not wear keffiyeh, but the cosplaying western pro-Hamas demonstrators do. And we haven't seen anyone, except some elderly men, in Gaza wearing them. What convinced these demonstrators to think that this was authentic? I had to explain to someone that it is very rare to see anyone wearing them in the PA or Gaza. The elder guy in Jerusalem who wears a red one identifies as Israeli Arab & loves to chat with everyone. But other than that, nada.
