Here's a new angle on NACS dying that'll depress everyone: the amount of teams registered for ESEA Open in NA is -30.5% compared to season 34. (Same April-June szn in 2020). And lots of the people playing have team names implying they're not new players. Next Gen looks dead.

Fragadelphia Chicago will be my last LAN in esports. This was a long time coming for a slew of reasons, but as my internship with @BuildWillmeng comes to a close I know what I want to do with my life, and it isn't esports.
Recent results are unacceptable, and that's on me as their coach. You take everything onto yourself, as you should if you're good at your role. Thank you @LagGaming_ and the boys @Experative @ogwizardCS @nicxCS @NyyxCS @weezaXO for putting up with me. This will be a bit of a thank you thread with everyone in it from my whole career in the comments so if you see yourself it's because you did a good job.

I think Yekindar to FaZe is a good culture fit, he has that FaZe-style swagger to him and that would make 4/5 of the FaZe players young enough to play for a super long time together like the old TSM->Astralis core did.

The @VALORANT esports community has the wrong idea on why a demo system is important for the scene.
I can't go through Tier 3 matches and see your perspective or your micro and scout you, and if you don't know people and network into my field of view then me and other coaches can never find you.
Having no real demos is to the absolute detriment of the scene, because everyone has to try being a stats monster in their roles. Which leads right back to stupid hero play bullshit that everyone has to fix, and I'm fucking tired of fixing it.
Some players are way too valuable for reasons only a good coach can see, reasons like how they enable their star players or their game-sense as the round progresses, or how they adjust in anchor spots and how sufficient they are without everyone's utility coming in to support them.
All of this stuff I value a lot, and I can't find it in Valorant until you're trialing, and by then you either got it and I'm picking you on the spot or you don't and I'm passing over you.

I don't understand the walking-on-eggshells approach to this team. There's so many individual mistakes being made that seem allowed by the ceiling of the player involved in each mistake. They need to fix the floorboards before they show off the new roof.

You win ECL every season you get to stay alive in it, and I hope all the @DU_Esport boys go into relegation with their heads held high and focus on winning. There's nothing negative about being new to the best domestic league in NA.

Because I want bad LAN players to be found out in every way possible. Can't handle the roar of the crowd or the "tv-static" slowly absorbing all your thoughts? No worries, here's one less thing you have to think about at the highest level in the most important game so react on instinct with less chances for surprise.
It's not the biggest thing in the world, it's just the idea it could trend here for the next few years until there's nothing hidden nor exciting, and we lean heavier on MOBA mechanics and correct plays than ballsy surprise moments like Victor popping through heaven smokes on Split against Fnatic

I don't think anyone who's been around esports a while ever assumed Disguised would actually get a bracket remake. It's unfortunate and the team as disqualified but the bracket as a whole must stand. The results must stand in double-elim or everything's fucked logistically.

I think K0nfig played some of his worst counterstrike in NiP, I also don't agree that Alexsib got a fair shake at G2 considering all the XQTZZZ drama between the two of them, can't IGL when your coach actively undermines your calling in interviews.

I stand by my players and the Valorant program at Fisher College, they've done their best and played with integrity in NACE and all other leagues.
Even the NECC hiccup that came from admins referencing old rules, none of this is on the players. Don't harass them.

Timberman are a competitive CS roster that will be in ECL playoffs in 2 szns max, I hope they eventually get a home that takes their history into account and gives them the probational redemption arc, I can understand why it won't be Tempest though, this stuff needs buy-in.
