I can’t think of many examples in esports in general let alone VALORANT where a team has been forced to play with a sub at such short notice on the biggest stage possible and beat what is arguably the tournament favorite. For the hatewatchers and VLR screenshot copy and pasters, this is the value that someone like @OfficialBoaster brings to a roster. Wanted to shed some light as lots of people now reaching out. Unfortunately I won’t be attending Masters Shanghai. I’ve had to miss some time this season already in EMEA which lots of people have noticed. Apologies to my colleagues who have had to cover last minute or pivot to accompany.
I’ve unfortunately not been well since Champs last year where I collapsed and had to attend the ER in LA. Been dealing with daily symptoms and it’s had a massive impact on not just my work life but my personal life too. This is the first time I’ve ever really had to take time away from work in any capacity and it’s been fairly terrifying.
I’m trying my best to get back to fighting fit and be back on the shows as soon as possible.

During FNC x BLG earlier in the event I actually ended up passing out right as the series ended and had to attend the Emergency Room here in LA. My symptoms have come and go ever since but today had a really rough time during the cast so had to step aside.
Massive thanks to everyone’s efforts behind the scenes to support me and particularly to @SideshowGaming to step in so seamlessly and close out.

I was informed in December that I wouldn't be receiving anything long-term or a guarantee of work for the 2025 season. Not sure what this means for me going forwards but I'm excited for this season to get started and the opportunity to continue being an armchair analyst from home.

To shed a little more light, I'm still awaiting lots more tests and procedures to help diagnose my seemingly very strange condition. My daily symptoms have worsened recently with some seizures and episodes of losing consciousness which has obviously been pretty rough to deal with, hence my inability to not only be on broadcast but also carry out most day to day stuff.
Rough times but I am literally setting myself the goal of getting back to fighting fit because I miss being able to do what I love with an awesome bunch of people 😊
