here's a preview:
"cool design, nice website, war crimes, the internet is so beautiful, capitalism is a plague, sweet animations, we should abolish the police"
“Fascism is coming” i got put into handcuffs and thrown into jail last week for holding a door open for someone in the subway station in the bluest city in the bluest state
At a student protest at The New School, NYPD was caught on camera removing a handcuffed woman from a police car to unbutton her shirt and grope her chest multiple times.
NYPL is closed on Sundays, but NYPD gets millions of dollars in overtime to violate women.

don't let anybody tell you ICE is underfunded, they're conducting an armed military raid on the Canal Street vendors right now and they brought a bearcat to combat the knockoff hermes bags
Mayor Eric Adams at a town hall last week:
“I am the pilot, and you are all passengers. Pray for me to land the plane, cause there’s no parachutes on this plane, we’re all going down together.”
If they feel comfortable doing this in public, in front of a crowd and news cameras, imagine what they do behind closed doors. Abolish the police and especially the NYPD.
He was being held in a prison and had no ability to make any choices about seeking his own healthcare, food, water, sleep, mobility, mental health, and exercise. So yes, ICE is responsible for his well-being while in custody.
I went to Manila, Philippines to visit my virtual assistants last week
We have worked together closely for over 1 year now
I could not run my life without their help!
They picked me up at the airport in a new car that one bought thanks to her job with me
Then I took them out for lots of meals, like the Chinese hot pot buffet in this photo
They taught me some words in Tagalog
One day we had a big work meeting
We talked about all the things I do, future plans, etc
They asked me a lot of questions and it was helpful for all
We talked about my book “The 2-Hour Cocktail Party” and all the things we have planned next
They support my readers for party coaching and helping me give out advice on how to make friends and help people grow their networks
It was pretty great!
I’m so glad that I went to visit them
But I realized that calling them “virtual assistants” isn’t a fair term
It feels outdated, like calling someone Oriental
These are real team members — not a SaaS or a line item expense
So I think I’ll stop using the term VA or Virtual Assistant soon
I’m thankful for their help and plan to hire another person soon to continue to grow my team
just remembered this extremely staged and badly acted video from the police department that brought you “crime is definitely bad in the subway that’s why we need the national guard to inspect your bag”
Welcome to NYC!
Even as our Detectives investigate crimes they’re attacked by emboldened criminals, who have quickly realized there are no consequences for law breakers in our city.
The DEA is calling for this violence to be fully prosecuted as we look to file civil charges.
it’s genuinely hard to find real information in The New Twitter™️, so here is (as far as I can tell), a thread of reputable orgs working in Palestine to distribute aid, that are accepting immediate donations, with links:
trying to decide if a tech party deserves my hottest fits or if they would be wasted on a demographic that typically wears free conference t-shirts to Michelin star restaurants
no one really talks about how incredibly lonely it is not having a relationship with your family.
By default most people come into the world with people who look out for them, but if you didn’t, you have to earn that love from the world
An army of Strategic Response Group cops just descended on protesters outside of Columbia who have been rallying in support of student protesters since this afternoon.
no date I go on will ever be better than the time a guy brought me to the house of a wildlife sanctuary employee, and I got high and held a baby grey fox like a human baby
my (white) roommate and I are engaged in a cultural exchange, I show him how to make staple dishes like zaru soba and lumpiang shanghai, and he introduces me to the exotic food of his people, like pasta salad

people that date just to complain about their dates are weird. Someone dedicated a portion of their very valuable day just to spend time with you, why would you insult them on the internet for being more awkward than you?

By the time Rihanna was my age she had released eight albums and won nine Grammys.
Also, by the time Ted Bundy was my age he had killed 30 people.
It seems I have some catching up to do.
A tale of two cities tonight:
SF used 100 police to trap and arrest a small group of peaceful protestors including a 14-year old boy and a journalist.
Oakland cops stayed mostly out of sight and protestors broke out into a midnight dance party.
every day my building gets a delivery of bread and every day my doorman saves me an extra loaf for when I get home and tbh I think this is the best relationship I’ve ever been in
if you want to know what it’s like to have a megaviral tweet, it’s basically just been everyone I’ve ever known messaging me to say they saw me posted in their work slack
