This Celsius leak may go down as one of the greatest breaches of customer information ever.
Names, balances and transaction ids. Any wallet thatās ever touched Celsius is now exposed and linked to an ID
A perfect demonstration of why KYC only hurts honest consumers
Our friends @GridlessCompute doing some incredibly cool work monetizing micro-hydro plants in Kenya.
They build these small hydro plants @ ~100KW which is much much more than the village needs.

Now weāll find out how decentralized Ethereum really is after the merge
This could be quite the rubicon moment for post-merge ETH2.0
More sleuthing found that this was 100% a premeditated attempt to mine the degods block
@FoundryServices mined block 0000000000000000000388f42000fa901c01f2bfae36042bbae133ee430e6485 which was then re-orged via a selfish mining attack

Closing in on 100k inscriptions
Close to a 1 year high in transaction fee rates
Mempool is over 100 blocks full and is purging anything < 2 sat / vByte
Blockspace is at a multi-year premium
This is what adoption looks like
While you were partying I studied ordinal theory
When you were having premarital sex I mastered taproot
While you wasted your days at the gym in pursuit of vanity I cultivated inscriptions
And now #Bitcoin is on fire and the maxis are at the gate you come to me for help?
A friend of mine is trying to build an AI to "predict" Bitcoin nonces.
Bro, there are only 700k data points.
Don't need "AI" for this, just plug it into Excel and it'll tell you you're an idiot
They are building for what the village needs in 5-10 years but in the interim, they are wasting all of the energy being produced but still have to pay for it. So theyāre paying for 100 kW but only using 10 kW which makes their power pricing very expensive.

Made NFT history today ā swapped my legendary Maxi @nodemonkes alien for a cowboy pepe alien from an OG holder (@rocktoshi21). I was fortunate to mint both this and the rank #1 one-trait alien (still my crown jewel).
They'll tell stories about the alien migration in the great halls of Valhalla. I certainly lost on this trade but this hits different ā like watching your kid go off to college. This wasnāt about price - it was about paying homage to the #1 PFP collection and a salute to one of the greats.
Show me another PFP project where aliens swap castles. I'll wait.

ALERT: there was a 1-block re-org which broke ordinal indexing
Your ordinals are safe, your inscriptions are safe. Nothing to do
You can still send / receive ordinals (these are just bitcoin transactions after all!)
The only thing that is broken is the explorer
Took mom to Italy for her 70th birthday - her first time leaving the USA
It was a nice reminder as to why we do what we do
Also, Italy is 10/10 - even without AC
āWhy does the Bitcoin network need to use so much energyā
Honestly, this question is so difficult to answer succinctly in just a couple sentences - e.g. in casual conversation
Anyone have a 280 character attempt?

Why are miners struggling?
This time last year was one of the most profitable times ever; miners shovelling money in as quickly as possible.
Less than 12 months later, itās the least profitable time to mine ever.
Very difficult to make strategic pivots in that amount of time
There are roughly 4-6 million mining machines out there securing the Bitcoin blockchain
There are around 815,000 Bitcoin blocks
The vast majority of mining machines will never find a block
How much hashrate will drop this summer when itās 120 degrees in West Texas?
Iām going with 10 EH - maybe even more.

Blocksize is back on the table with some interesting, and very sane, proposals to be considered.
Toss it into the mix with CAT, CTV, CSFS, GCC and the rest; 2025 if shaping up to be an interesting year in Bitcoin consensus!
Own .1 BTC? Congrats, keep stacking
Own 1 BTC? Congrats, keep stacking
Own 10 BTC? Congrats, keep stacking
It's a race and you have a chance to get a huge headstart

We service close to 200,000 mining machines and bandwidth is the least concerning metric when it comes to observation
There is very little data being passed around a bitcoin mining facility - mostly due to optimizations in the hyper-specific protocol
1. The servers allow for in-situ processing of collected SIGINT and other data, with finished product pushed out in smaller packets vice huge transmissions of raw data.
2. The volume of data flow in/out obscures intel product more easily.
3. Proximity is king when gathering SIGINT.
4. Bitcoin, like firearms, is a potent force multiplier technology where the danger of its use is up to the individual user's motives.
Increasing the blocksize 1% means 1% more fees earned per block for miners
Increasing the blocksize 100% means 100% more fees earned per block for miners
Quick maffs
Bitcoin mining is going to save the world.
In part one of this four-part essay focused on the intersection of Bitcoin mining and energy production, I hope to lay the groundwork to discuss the New Energy Future.

Tx Fee Bear Market
Fees are near zero - and worse, there are no real catalysts at this point to increase fees
In fact, Iād speculate that there are more catalysts to reduce fees - ETFs, L2 bridges, etcā¦
