Also, very technically, GitButler is automatically saving every change you make to every file all the time in a hidden CRDT format, so it is already auto-saving, we're just not showing it to you yet. SOON.

Sorry about this. Our latest release should help with both of these problems very directly. We now have an undo timeline where you can nearly always revert to a previous state very easily if anything should go wrong.
