I’ve now implemented this in my own car using Tesla’s APIs. My car will now honk its horn and flash its lights three times to warn people that they're being watched.
🔑📹 Hey, @Tesla engineers, any way of getting in a software update an alarm to protect from keying the car? The car could tell the criminal before they start that they are being filmed and reported to the authorities.

Holy shit, Robotaxi is PERFECT!!! It’s so smooth!!! MUCH smoother than Waymo and a huge noticeable refinement over FSD 13.2.9 I have in Australia! I can’t wait to take more. Also interestingly, for me it displays KM/h. Not MPH. Is that because that’s what my Tesla back in Australia shows? That’s a very nice detail, made me feel a lot more comfortable actually understanding the speed we’re going at.

This is actually my super in Australia. Here's their statement: 8 May 2024 A joint statement from UniSuper CEO Peter Chun, and Google Cloud CEO, Thomas Kurian UniSuper and Google Cloud understand the disruption to services experienced by members has been extremely frustrating and disappointing. We extend our sincere apologies to all members. While supporting UniSuper to bring its systems back online, Google Cloud has been conducting a root cause analysis. Google Cloud CEO, Thomas Kurian has confirmed that the disruption arose from an unprecedented sequence of events whereby an inadvertent misconfiguration during provisioning of UniSuper’s Private Cloud services ultimately resulted in the deletion of UniSuper’s Private Cloud subscription. This is an isolated, ‘one-of-a-kind occurrence’ that has never before occurred with any of Google Cloud’s clients globally. This should not have happened. Google Cloud has identified the events that led to this disruption and taken measures to ensure this does not happen again. Why did the outage last so long? UniSuper had duplication in two geographies as a protection against outages and loss. However, when the deletion of UniSuper’s Private Cloud subscription occurred, it caused deletion across both of these geographies. Restoring UniSuper’s Private Cloud instance has called for an incredible amount of focus, effort, and partnership between our teams to enable an extensive recovery of all the core systems. The dedication and collaboration between UniSuper and Google Cloud has led to an extensive recovery of our Private Cloud which includes hundreds of virtual machines, databases and applications. UniSuper had backups in place with an additional service provider. These backups have minimised data loss, and significantly improved the ability of UniSuper and Google Cloud to complete the restoration. What’s next? UniSuper and Google Cloud have been working around the clock on a resolution. The completion of the restoration swiftly, safely and securely remains Google Cloud and UniSuper’s top priority.

Bad take, not everything is to do with work as you Americans like to obsess over and make it your entire identity. People also practice mindfulness, being in the present, and leaving behind their devices. A lot of people know leave their phones permanently on DND. Just because someone can always reach you doesn’t mean you’re obliged. Prioritise being in the moment with the people you’re with.

Join me as I drive my first ever Cybertruck with @teslaownersSV! And first time driving in the US (on the wrong side of the road)! — Just want to extend a massive thank you to John for giving me an incredible experience and trusting me with his baby! First, John truly has the most badass Cybertruck I have ever seen! The moment I laid eyes on the Cybertruck when I arrived in LA from Australia I fell in love. You guys in the US have no idea how lucky you are to have such a beast of a car available for you to purchase. The Cybertruck is genuinely the coolest looking vehicle I have ever seen. It’s 100% the baddest looking mofo on the street! This thing handled flawlessly however. I was genuinely surprised at how nimble it felt and easy to drive. Tesla engineering really nailed this one with the steer-by-wire. I actually think it feels even easier to drive than my M3P. Definitely doesn’t feel like you’re manoeuvring around a 3-ton weapon, yet you are. It drives like a sports car. It’s truly the ultimate combo. FSD on the other hand is truly a godsend when visiting overseas. Not only was this my first Cybertruck experience, this was my first time driving in the US and my first time driving on the other (wrong side) of the road. I can tell you it doesn’t sound complicated switching from one side to the other, but the mental gymnastics you need to do and the constant focus actually makes it quite a challenge when your brain is hardwired to driving in a certain way. A few times when I became unsure about the situation I pressed the button for FSD and let it take over. I can tell you now. I will never rent anything else besides a Tesla when I’m travelling overseas. FSD (or at the very least autopilot) truly is a blessing when you’re unfamiliar with a new area. The comfort, the ease, the everything of driving a Tesla has truly locked me in for life. I cannot ever see myself ever wanting to drive another vehicle. These are the best vehicles to jump in and literally drive like you normally do in any city, any country in the world. With FSD it’s a piece of cake. Finally I just want to say thank you to John again for making this happen. The same day John found out I was in town he dropped everything and went out of his way to make this happen for me. I genuinely love that aspect of American culture. You guys genuinely go above and beyond for people, are incredibly kind and generous and love to share your passions with other people and cultures. Thank you to John and everyone else I have interacted with who have seen my posts on X. I have felt incredibly welcomed and loved in the US and hope to come back many more times to visit! Lots of love to you all.
