I’ve received a few Qs about the @Algorand block rewards being slight lower, so this is a reminder that base block rewards decrease by 1% every millionth block.
We just hit block 47,000,000 a few hours ago, so now base block rewards are 9.9A, plus ofc 50% of the block fees.

I am back, AlgoFam!
X and Brazil’s rogue Supreme Court Justice Alexandre de Moraes came to an understanding, and X is no longer banned in Brazil.
While I am thrilled to be back (I really missed you all!), it’s disappointing that an aspiring dictator continues to rule Brazil through lawfare by censoring hundreds of prominent figures, including sitting members of Congress!
The fight for free speech continues and its future must live in a distributed and censorship resistance medium - blockchain.
I very much enjoyed using @wecoopapp to post my weekly @Algorand ecosystem threads during the last few weeks.
WeCoop is a great tool that guarantees freedom of speech and has a great future ahead.
Moving forward I will resume posting my weekly ecosystem roundup threads here on X, but will post on WeCoop as well (a few minutes early!), and we should continue using that dApp!

As some of you may know, I am Brazilian.
A few days ago Supreme Court Justice @Alexandre not only banned X in Brazil, but also forced app stores to also remove VPN providers (!).
That’s all absurd and almost unbelievable, but he didn’t stop there.
Alexandre also imposed a fee of ~USD 9k/day for Brazilian citizens that are caught using VPN to access X.
Brazil has reached unprecedented levels of censorship.
And here’s where this week’s roundup differs from previous ones.
Blockchain is about self sovereignty.
Blockchain is about censorship resistance.
Blockchain is about freedom.
The future of social media, and communications, must be decentralized.
So today, thanks to the suggestion of my friend @cusma_b, I posted the weekly thread with all the news from our ecosystem as a permanent record on the @Algorand blockchain, that will not be censored, no matter how hard Alexandre tries.
