We are blessed in STL to have the best in @NWSStLouis ! They pioneered the use of NWSchat which allows unbelievable levels of coordination in realtime! Biggest safety advancement since radar IMO. #stlwx
Going to step up high on my soap box again because this is IMPORTANT. Our NWS/SPC meteorologists, broadcast mets, emergency managers and many others did an exceptional job communicating the threats from this storm systems days in advanced as well as last night.

Notice the outer cays and shallow water adjacent to Great Abaco Island within a relatively clear eye.

The latest spotter information for the #chinaballoon has it almost due east of Columbia, MO and southeast of Macon, MO. The trajectory model we use for tracking air mass movement shows the balloon will likely pass over STL around 3pm. @fox2now #stlwx
