If a client pays you for something, the money IS NOT YOURS TO SPEND until you deliver the product.

To those of you that take commissions, it should NOT be your clients job to chase after you to get some sort of update. This seems to be way too commonplace where people go for months and months without hearing from someone they commissioned, and it's extremely unprofessional.
