People that think valve did this for average players are so deluded and entitled. If they wanted you to be able to afford reds why did they baseline them at $800 in the genesis terminal lmfao. You dont need a knife and full loadout to play the game.
For those of you that didnt figure it out yet here is what valve actually achieved with this update:
1. Lowered gold prices (both short and long term) to a price low enough that the majority can be listed on the SCM.
2. Increased the price and demand for reds, a lot of reds nobody gave a fuck about. All reds used for trade up are also still cheap enough to be listed on the market, again increasing the amount of fees they can take.
3. Increased the ROI for cases. Before it was knife or bust, now reds have some sort of value which makes case opening more attractive in the long run, meaning more revenue.
4. Potential circumvention of incoming gambling laws. You can now guarantee a knife with a tradeup, and as such there are more ways to get one than just gambling.
5. (Potentially unintended) Made the SCM a more attractive market place due to the absence of trade reversal that you find in 3rd party marketplaces, again increasing their marketshare and in turn their profit.
TLDR The only intended beneficiary of the update is valve (obviously). You dont need a top tier knife and gloves and full set of coverts to play the game so suck it up and get your bread up 💯
This is cheapest coverts on steam community market.
This is normal?
@CounterStrike you guys literally ruined covert prices.
