after hosting 5 episodes of the founder spotlight here is what i’ve found out - you can decide to remain a consumer waiting for the next shinning thing to hop on or instead decide to contribute to this industry by solving a problem and providing value. It’s a choice we all have to make. - building is not easy but having the right team and support around you goes a long way in helping you realize your goals. - understanding the business model behind what you are building would save you unnecessary troubles business runs on cashflow, if this is not something you have on lock, then progress becomes impossible. - when building a community, being present as a founder in the chats would bring you closer to understand what people want and also builds trust. - be open to suggestions, but don’t let people deter you from the vision you have for what you are building. - having capable team members is a leverage to save time, so choose them wisely. after hosting a space on what's the trend for creators i found out i missed this stream from @waleswoosh and @CaptainCKeth where they asked @Zeneca some key questions as regards creator growth strategies some of the questions asked were ones I've always wanted answers to. here are my 2 major take away from this session (i had so many tbh) (check the image for a quick TL:DR) 1st > start where you can easily gain much grounds and influence. as a creator, I've always had question as regarding the notion to niche down when starting out but Captain gave a good illustration to explain the right psychology to have, using water bodies of all things, ponds - lakes - oceans showing progression and growth, but also acknowledging that you have to start from somewhere gradually gain authority and reputation, then spreading out to other things becomes a lot more easier than doing it all at once. 2nd > create valuable content worth propagating; growth will come when people are willing to share your content. i would add as well, like plants you have to grow an attractive fruit (with good taste and scent) which is good takes on trending topics to attract interest but these fruits hold seeds, and when animals consume the fruit, they end up spreading the seeds which helps the plant regenerate and propagate. in the same vain, content should be valuable enough that your audience not only consume but are also willing to share and propagate. this stream is definitely a good example; we've not had a dilution of creators in CT like we have right now with Info-Fi, but a lot are interested in growing. hence this stream serves that purpose, giving value to it's audience (creators) that's worth propagating. glad i watched till the very end, i will refer back to it once in a while.
