400 of the S&P 500 $SPY are going to report earnings by the end of February. 60 of them haven't scheduled yet, and aren't included in this chart, but the large caps pick up significantly this week and that continues into next week. There will be more Industrials $XLI than Financials $XLF, but this is the week we start to really get into Tech $XLK. earningswhispers.com/calenda…

$NFLX Conference Call Summary: You came for Jake Paul and Tyson, and you stayed for Squid Games, but really, it is our breadth of content that is steadily driving new subscribers. There is not one single event that resulted in a significant jump in new subscribers. The live events were huge for us though, and we want to do more live events, but the economics isn’t there for us to go after a lot of big league sports. We are bringing the Women’s World Cup, though, and this will add to our other blockbuster content. We are going after YouTube and TikTok some by offering short-form videos because that’s what the kids like, but once we get them on the platform, we see them watching our other content. So, now, we are expanding into gaming, primarily based on our intellectual property, but also on licensed content such as Grand Theft Auto. As we continue to grow our breadth of content, we expect to continue to gain new subscribers. Some of these are ad-supported viewers, where we’ve done the work and are set up to really grow our ad revenue. We exceeded expectations last year while doubling ad revenue, and we expect to do that again this year. Overall, we only have 6% of the content revenue in the markets we operate, so we have a lot of room to grow as we take market share. Then, we will snowball and continue to take that revenue to spend on new content so that the quality and quantity of our content continue to accelerate. We did a good job of balancing that in 2024, and we expect to continue to grow revenue faster than we spend on content, so we expect margins to improve in 2025. earningswhispers.com/epsdeta…
The only time in the past couple of years that $NFLX reported below its guidance was when it reported results in January 2024 and January 2023. So the analysts thought they would get in front of the company this time, and put their numbers below the company's guidance. That left a pretty easy bar for the company to hurdle.

Here is a look at third quarter 2025 earnings season. Missing from this are a few names. $AMZN should tell us this week that they are going to report during the last week of October, and $PLTR should tell us this week that they are going to report during the first week of November. Most of everything else you care about has confirmed dates. earningswhispers.com/calenda… $TSLA $NFLX $META $ASML $AMD $BLK $UNH $JPM $TSM $GS $SOFI $AAPL $MSFT $FAST $GOOGL $HOOD $C $PYPL $WFC $UAL $JNJ $ANET $ALAB $DPZ $IBM $IBKR $INTC $BK $APH $CMG $VZ $APP $FCX $ENPH $RDDT $BA $JBHT $GEV $UPS $LLY $BAC $ISRG

Only about 60% of the S&P 500 $SPY have scheduled earnings so far, so any date you see for $AMD $PLTR $AMZN $GOOGL, etc., are just guesses and are not on this calendar. That said, the fourth-quarter earnings season is the longest and, for the most part, will seep into March, but this is the meat of it. earningswhispers.com/calenda… $TSLA $JPM $SOFI $NFLX $AAPL $TSM $C $KBH $META $BLK $WFC $UAL $UNH $GS $APLD $MSFT $INTC $PYPL $AEHR $BAC $ASML $PGR $MS $VZ $APP $BK $CMTL $IBM $F $ARM $USB $QCOM $LLY $TXN $SLB $CNXC $CMG $GE $HOOD $AAL $BA $BOKF $FCX $SNAP $SPOT

Here is a look at second quarter 2024 earnings season. Note that, as is typical, $AMD $AAPL $AMZN $MSFT etc. aren't included because they haven't scheduled their dates yet (and we only show confirmed dates), so if your broker or a website shows a date for these, know that it is a guess, and you shouldn't rely on it. earningswhispers.com/calenda… $TSLA $NFLX $META $PEP $CMG $JPM $DAL $UAL $SOFI $PYPL $WFC $GBX $CAG $BAC $QCOM $ARM $UNH $C $SGH $ASML $ENPH $GS $WDFC $F $VZ $PFE $SQ $CVX $BA $BK $IBKR $GE $IBM $ISRG $GM $CVNA $AZZ $HELE $KRUS $CTAS $AXP $CLF $NOW

$GOOGL conference call summary: AI is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and we’ve been working on it for a long time. $META has got to spend to catch up on AI because they were playing in the Metaverse while we’ve been working on AI since 2016. Maybe $AAPL is going to bring AI to the phone, but Android users already get to use AI features you can’t get on the iPhone. Some haven’t figured out how to monetize AI, but what do you think we are doing over here? $PANW may be going back to the drawing board to work on AI, because Gemini is now seen as the Cybersecurity leader. Oh, and we aren’t just using $NVDA H100s; we are going full Blackwell. We expect to continue to grow capex and will invest to keep us in front of our competitors. By the way, we aren’t spending money on offices, really just infrastructure. Overall, it was a great quarter and we’ve got more to go. Search continues to be the driver of our growth, but YouTube and Cloud are fast contenders. We’ve been developing AI since 2016 and we’ve already got the infrastructure needed. We’ve seen technology shifts before, and AI is just another one. We cut SG&A costs, but we increased R&D. earningswhispers.com/epsdeta…
