The older i get the less judgemental I get. Life is complex and right or wrong largely lives on a scale that's personal to each individual. I thus now give people a lot of grace, try to see them for the human they are and meet them where they are at.

A guy in his 30s woke up with chest pain. His partner drove him to hospital and on the way there he passed out and was on death's door. Ambulance was called, CPR started. His heart stopped 13 times and was restarted each time. He was saved from his heart attack.

Young people these days seem to optimize for a 'soft life' too early in their career. You're in your twenties, just got out of Uni, sorry to break it to you but if you're not doing 15 hour days across work and personal learning, you're not working hard enough.

Imagine this scenario; someone strong threatens to burn your house and your father hides inside while sending messengers outside to respond. Then some of your fathers friends start complaining that your mother's formers suitors are not responding to the threat.
His (@PeterObi ) silence is loud enough to the deaf even. For someone who tweets about anything and everything that’d advance his futile bid for the presidency, his silence is more than a word. It is loud and clear.

If you have a heart attack today, the biggest predictor of your survival is where you have it. A Nigerian cardiologist in the U.S had one while visiting Nigeria, he died. An elderly retired grandpa had one while visiting his son in the Uk, he survived. Systems trump everything.

I sold pure software for 4 years to Nigerian businesses. One day while at church in Dublin, I met an American guy who worked for a big tech company. He was headed to Nigeria cuz a number of big corporates were owing them for their software and it was proving difficult to collect. It finally dawned on me that day that selling pure software as a startup in Nigeria was a fool's errand. They will never value it and prioritize your invoices. I soon learned that the opportunity was in selling a service to businesses that your software allows you to deliver much more efficiently than the status quo. So the advice I give now is: Don't sell software in Nigeria, most people don't value it. Instead build great software that enables you to power a tangible service that people are willing to pay for. Look at all the successful startups in the country. The value prop of the service is what people buy, not the software that helps deliver it. I made this switch and revenue is up 1,000% in 5 years.
Nigerians still don't want to pay for software. We need to fix this mentality.

Digging a bit deeper, it turns out that this SUV "gift" is actually lawful. Pastor is just positioning it for PR and to win over political favors. The state Assembly passed a law that entitles these ex-deputy governors to an SUV every 4 years. This is on top of their benefits which includes a lifetime pension equivalent to their salary while in office. 300% of this as furniture allowance every 4 years. Entertainment allowance equivalent to their annual salary. A house in Abuja or uyo and many more. The benefits are so juicy that Akwa ibom spends over 10% of its IGR funding it. You see what they want us to pay more tax to fund. We no go gree oh!

Your whole branch of Christianity exists because someone like Martin Luther in 1517, nailed his 95 theses on the wall of a church, arguing against the excesses of clergy at the time. Clergy are fallible and are not God that they should not be questioned.
Some People have carried some Unnecessary Curses they ought not to have carried in the first place. WHY? Because they had insulted some genuine MEN OF GOD who Carry some Fires that is meant for the Devil. David the King didn’t have to Curse Michal his wife at all, when she DESPISED HIM IN HER HEART and INSULTED him when he came back from dancing heartily in the presence of God. 2 Samuel 6:16 NKJV [16] Now as the ark of the LORD came into the City of David, Michal, Saul's daughter, looked through a window and saw King David leaping and whirling before the LORD; and she despised him in her heart. DAVID. NEVER CURSED HER. But She Incurred an UNNECESSARY CURSE UPON HERSELF FOR “TOUCHING” THE LORD’S ANOINTED. 2 Samuel 6:23 NKJV [23] Therefore Michal the daughter of Saul had no children to the day of her death. THAT IS HOW SOME IGNORANT AND ARROGANT PEOPLE ARE GETTING THEIR FINGERS BURNT IN THE FIRE THEY CAN NOT QUENCH. Because some Men of God had disappointed you does not imply every Man of God you see should now be Despised and Insulted. It is a Very Dangerous Venture. SOME PEOPLE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR ANY EXCUSE TO DESPISE AND TALK AGAINST MEN OF GOD. FEAR FOR YOUR FUTURE! #mikebamiloye

One day I hope the laws of African street football (where most African players learn the game) will let it be known that only about 25% of football involves having the ball at your feet. That most of the game is actually about around what teams and players do WITHOUT the ball.

Just finished watching the nearly 3 hour Peter obi interview on the honest bunch podcast. WHAT A MAN! He's an inspirational example in so many ways. He's also an aberration. A Nigerian billionaire that's simple, humble and respects all people regardless of class or age. This is rare as hen's teeth. A story that struck me was of a JSS1 girl who called him, a sitting governor, a liar in a public forum. Everyone rushed to hush the girl but he let her speak. The girl was correct. Obi had promised her school hall would be fixed and it wasn't done. That day Obi's team rallied to get the cheque for it to be done. Similarly, a pensioner tackled him at church saying God would not answer his prayers cuz he was owing her pension. He insisted on visiting her home and saw first hand the poverty owed pensioners live in. He proceeded to pay out all owed pensions and gratuities. Leaders in Nigeria are often shielded by spokespersons and layers of handlers that they never ever see the problems and how their policies and actions are affecting people. Obi is the type of leader who knows and feels the pulse himself. This is exactly what we need. Also, Obi understands that our growth as a country lies behind investments in education, health and promoting enterprise. He's built several enterprises himself successfully and has supported so many health and education institutions as a philanthropist and a governor. The aberration that is Nigeria needs a similar aberration in Obi to help us reset course towards greatness. We must elect this man oh! I'll do my best to ensure it happens.

"Obi's depleting popularity" Lol! Make una no fall for this clear propaganda oh. There are less than 10 people who have ever gotten over 6 million votes in a presidential election since 1999, Obi is one of them and he did it without a party structure. Since that election, obi has had more questions asked of him than tinubu, has made more public appearances alongside the average person and has given 10s of millions to schools and healthcare projects. Obi went to unity cup in London and they had to instruct people not to recognize him. Omo if na me I go fear obi too na begin dey spread propaganda. Obi is putting in the work, 2027 election will be over by 2pm in favor of him as long as we turn out en masse and press INECs neck to curtail rigging.
Rotimi Amaechi coming into the picture has further relegated the possibilities of the coalition adopting Peter Obi. The latter skips to third on that scale. It doesn’t help that when Amaechi speaks about his record, he mentions specific projects whilst Obi mentions Bangladesh. The coalition probably considered Obi’s depleting popularity too.

Non-doctors can never fathom what it is like to work as a doctor, there's almost no point trying to even explain. If you do a 9 to 5 you can't understand going to work on Saturday morning and not leaving until Monday night, 60 hours in total, a regular occurrence in medicine.

Spent the last few weeks travelling across four cities in Nigeria and gosh was it depressing! The soul of the country is gone! The streets are lifeless, people are defeated, we have retrogressed. APC is a cancer consuming us, they need to go.
People selling their cars to buy foodstuffs is not a good omen for any country being ruled by the "Progressives"!. There is nothing progressive in selling your property to eat.

Looks like I may have to pick up the stethoscope again to help battle this Covid-19 outbreak. Can't see my buddies in the struggle in the trenches and not join in. I encourage all non-clinical docs to get in shape to get in the trenches. All hands needed on deck.

Peter Obi's politics is one of ideas and aspirations, not patronage. His political proteges are the people his ideas and principles are influencing to believe that Nigeria can work and things can be done differently. Abi you think, "we no dey give shishi" no be influence? Obi's politics returns power to the people and away from godfathers. Look at what is happening in Abia state, where the governor is constrained to please the people and show workings. Unlike his predecessors who were sharing the state's coffers with their political benefactors. Yes Obi is a "one man business" and that's what we need, all men and women to have princiciples, stick to them singularly and believe that things can be better through our individual hard work. Obi is not perfect, nobody is, but the idea that he needs to return to the politics of old to make progress is fallacious. He belives a new Nigeria is POssible and many of us agree with him. We're solidly behind you @PeterObi. When you finally declare, that 6 million you got in 2023 will be child's play! 2027 will shock them!
Supporting this political version of @PeterObi for 2027 is for those that do not have much doing with their political capital/energy/time He is a fairly decent man who is also extremely politically selfish. Asides the fact that he caught all his "allies" off guard in 2023 so they couldn't run under Labour (una don see the result with the decamping) he does not care about any other person's political ambition. Post 2023,he refused to build the party using his leverage. There is a reason why almost everyone that ran with him in 2023 don run comot. Even the first major person to join him @valentineozigbo collect from e hand. @OlumideAkpata did not fare better. Ask around. There is a reason why a two time Governor has 0 political protégés. For whatever reason, and just like Buhari, God gave him following. Buhari was able to adapt and make the concessions to succeed in 2015. But Peter Obi get coconut head. E no wan change E wan run Nigeria like one man business. Does that make him a bad man? Not at all. It is merely unfortunate that e dey do like the Nigeria he wishes to govern. Resources full ground, but he cannot find how to harness it. Obidients, hold your principal to account. Ask him the tough questions. Does he want to be an activist or a politician? Una don fight and pursue every one comot una camp on e behalf, only to end up with Malami as a senior Obidient. 🤭🤭 Sorry for the laff.

All 3 frontrunners for Nigeria's presidency are wealthy men. Of all of them, only one of them has wealth that increases when the average person in the street has more money in their pocket. Guess who that is? Yes, it's the trader. Choose who makes money when you make money.

Women carried the chibok girls matter on their head with BBOG. Nothing stops us men from doing BBOB for kaduna boys. If you're going to call a foul at least wait till you enter and play the 'game'.
The abducted Kaduna Boys will not get the same support and attention as the Chibok Girls because firstly, they are boys, and secondly, GEJ isn't President.

I get this on an individual level but for society to progress, it needs all of us operating at our respective peak abilities. A first class physics graduates peak abilities from society's perspective is unlikely to be tailoring. If he fills a tailoring gap, who fills his gap in physics? Not many can. When we speak of low productivity in Nigeria, this is one of the problems. Our human capital is poorly optimized, talent terribly allocated. The optimum path here is a physics PhD and a rewarding career in industry and or academia. If he was to end up in tailoring with his cognitive abilities it should be via invention that increases tailoring output for the same input, growing productivity in the process. More economic value created. Dead weight jobs in tailoring is not what a first class physics grad should be doing.
Exactly, we're used to Excellence being limited to just academics. Who's to say we can't be excellent in all spheres? While, I pursue my academic goals, I push my brand. It's another expression of excellence for me. You could help repost 🙏🏿 It's more than just "sewing clothes"

Tinubu lost Lagos to Obi. In 2027 14 year olds from 2023 will be eligible to vote. Obi is literally the only credible person offering any sort of alternative to the status quo. Let all the governors move to APC, even better, we vote them all out en masse! Election over by 2pm. 💪

Once read a thread of an American software engineer who outsourced all the chores in his life and ended up depressed. The friction in life is often what gives it meaning. Don't paradoxically soft life your way into listlessness. Cook, clean and organize and teach your kids same.

I've come to learn that choices in life are often not between good or bad but between two good options. Any choice you make is thus the right choice. The trick is to do the work required and to never look back or regret the choice you made. Our attitude fulfills our choice.

The bolt driver I just took came from badagry to drop off someone in lekki. He's heading back now hoping he gets rides that make it worthwhile. He's on the verge of selling his car because bolt pays less than it used to. Why sell? His twins are in 300 level and he needs to fund their stay in university. One called him last night to say they've only been existing on garri. I asked him what will he do when he sells his car. He says hopefully university is paid for and that God will provide in the future and bless his hustle but at least he's done his part to train his children. His story is the story of the average Nigerian man. Hustle day in day out to provide for his family.

I think many Obi haters have (reluctantly) realized that Obi won (the popular vote) and so they're doing opposition to the people's president cuz this obsession with a private citizen in the midst of multiple crises caused by APC don turn winch something. Abeg face BAT leave Obi.
People who think highly of PO regarding governance amazes me, because as Governor, what did he do to better the lives of his people.

When I posted the quoted tweet about Covenant university four years ago, you people were after my life. Glad to finally see something empiric from a company that's provided recruitment testing for over 200k graduates. Covenant is clear. Will tweet more from the report soon.
When I see "Covenant university" in a CV for a role I'm hiring for, that's almost always a good enough reason to at least offer them an interview.

When I lived in NZ, I visited a family one evening. On my way out they asked if I'd like 'tea'. 'sure, why not'. They proceeded to lay a 3 course meal in front of me. Turns out that in new Zealand, 'tea' is the biggest meal of the day.
