I still like news radio because it’s perhaps the only media that doesn’t feel like it’s adding itself to my todo list. I don’t feel the need to catch every single word.

You know what’s not cool? Opening up a brand new video game on Xmas morning, popping it into the PS4, and being told you need to download an 11GB update that will take 11 hours.

Mark Zuckerberg is terrified of even the rumors around Apple’s headset. Quest Pro was rushed to market in an attempt to beat them. A Quest 3 with only the color pass through and the improved optics would have been a winner… and that’s what we’ll get next year.

And it’s the software that’s the issue… the hardware is capable of doing things far beyond what’s actually possible with the apps and OS available today. The review covers that well.

Have you seen the brand names for the Covid vaccines? Pfizer’s is Comirnaty and Moderna’s is Spikevax. I think the drug namers are used to have like 5 years to come up with a name, and this was the best they could do with only a year.

When Trump was first elected I actually felt some pity for him. I knew he didn’t want or expect to win, and the pressure of it would probably destroy him. It feels like all of that is playing out, but I don’t feel pity now.

As I dive into Web3 I'm struck by the fact that it's more of an ideological and conceptual shift than a technological one (currently anyway)... and I think that's why a lot of tech people don't really get it.

I finally watched the first two episodes of Squid Game last night. First off, yes I like it. Second, if descriptions of it had focused more on the actual themes instead of the in-your-face aspects, I would have been more interested sooner. Third, it’s visually enchanting.
