Our thoughts go out to the entire Muskingum University family. Junior Jarrell Marsh was killed in a single-vehicle accident earlier today. One day after scoring his 1,000th career point: d3hoops.com/notables/2017/12…#d3h

John Carroll SID Chris Wenzler was one of the greats, great person to work with, never gave us a hassle about any requests, no matter how odd. He lost his two-year battle with cancer this afternoon, sad to say. Rest in peace, @BigDaddyWenz
Hey, for the record, no they shouldn't because
1. That is tampering.
2. D3 is not some developmental league for D1. You want a kid? Offer them out of high school.

D3 transfer Luke Smith (University of the South) leads 6-1 Belmont in scoring at 19.1 ppg. He may be undersized at 6’0”, but Smith is an absolute sniper from deep: he’s a blistering 30-60 from beyond the arc this season. More mid-majors should be recruiting D2/D3 up-transfers!
The UW-Whitewater men's basketball team has been dealing with a big loss all season long. And they've dealt with it well enough to win the WIAC tournament and advance to the D-III Sweet 16. @ryanalanscott has more: d3hoops.com/playoffs/men/202…#d3hoops
The new D3hoops.com men's basketball Top 25 is out, with one team reaching its highest ranking ever, and another joining the poll for the first time in nearly seven years: d3hoops.com/top25/men/2019-2…#d3hoops
There's been some very public complaints today about how hosts for D-III basketball sectionals were chosen. If you're a coach, or a university president, *you have the power to change this.* A school has a vote at the @NCAA convention. Work to change how D-III budgets. #d3hoops
Introducing the D3hoops.com men's basketball All-America Fourth Team: Jake Rhode of Elmhurst, Ben College of Whitworth, DeAnte Bruton of Nichols, Nate Shafer of Swarthmore and Gabriel Leifer of Yeshiva. #d3hoops

Kudos once again to @SamAtkinsonSID and the Division III men's basketball committee. Imagine if all those tight finishes had happened at the same time? Instead, we got one or two every half-hour this evening. Well done. #d3hoops
St. Francis, an NCAA Division I school, is coming to D-III and joining the Presidents' Athletic Conference. This is one of what is expected to be a growing number of D-I to D-III moves coming in the next few years. d3sports.com/notables/2025/0…#d3hoops#d3fb
The best conference in the country is shaping up to have the most exciting finish as well. The @wiacsports is deep, competitive, and this year, completely unpredictable. @adamturer has more in Around the Central: d3hoops.com/columns/around-t…#d3h
Merry Christmas to all the student-athletes, coaches, admins, fans, and more who support and cheer on all the #d3. We hope you have a wonderful day! <DM>
CUA broadcast: "There are a lot of people who cover D-III basketball for a living who thought Carnegie Mellon could win two games here."
There are zero people in the world who cover #d3hoops for a living! 🤣 #loveofthegame
This was a missed opportunity to give a sectional to a part of the country that regularly gets screwed because of NCAA travel restrictions. Three teams have to fly no matter where, so why not give it to the @ASC_sports rep or the @NorthwestConf rep? #d3hoops
According to sources: The Amherst WBB Sectional will take place at Amherst’s LeFrak Gymnasium but NO fans will be allowed to attend. I am told all three other schools involved are angry about this decision, but nothing was changed today. Teams limited to 25 personel. #d3hoops
Dear coaches and athletic directors: Are you having an end-of-year banquet? One where you thank people? Then please make sure to THANK YOUR SIDs! You'd be surprised how often you forget to do so! #thankyoursid@CoSIDAnews
The video we've been waiting all day for! The @SC_Pride men's basketball team was the last one revealed on the bracket announcement, and boy was it a long wait. #d3h#waitingforthebracket
Wonder what it’s like to be the 64th and final team announced into the @NCAADIII Men’s Basketball Championship field? Check out #SpringfieldCollege’s reaction thanks to @H_kelly19! #d3h 👀🏀🔻
"Some of our guys are in Calc 3 or Linear Algebra" and may not be able to get together for the selection show, says Josh Loeffler of Johns Hopkins. ARE THOSE REAL CLASSES? 😮😮😮 #d3hoops#whyd3
The math is done, the teams are selected. Here's the 64 teams into the field for the Division III men's basketball NCAA Tournament. d3hoops.com/playoffs/men/202…#d3hoops

Just sent out emails to all #d3hoops schools, all conference offices and select head coaches in conferences where schools do not report their scores/stats to us on game day. We are working hard to make sure we get as much D-III basketball data on the site in 2021-22 as possible!
Transylvania wins it at the buzzer, beating Mount St. Joseph 63-62! Check it out in slow motion -- the clock starts on time and the ball is away before the light turns on. #d3hoops
Out now, it's the new D3hoops MBB Top 25, with the 250th ranking for Wooster in the poll's history and the highest ranking for Gettysburg since Nov. 30, 2008. d3hoops.com/top25/men/2024-2…#d3hoops
Randolph-Macon defeats Lynchburg 70-62 for the ODAC men's title and will remain unbeaten headed into No. 1-vs.-No. 2 showdown with Trine on Sunday. #d3hoops
This is MIND-BOGGLING... this is a division three college and there isn’t an empty seat in the entire arena. A lot of division one schools can’t even fill a place up like this.
