Hi #crofam,
Early yesterday morning a rogue third party developer initiated a drain on Meowswap (MS) users.
As we were in the process of creating our vault system the code was still open to be edited. The developer was able to use the unlimited token access (which is standard when approving swaps) to withdraw tokens from user's wallets.
That being said this was not malicious code (which would have been caught by the audits we did) but an act of an individual who decided to take advantage of a whole community.
Meowswap is being removed from our list of projects for the time being.
Our NFTs + Token are not connected to MS or able to be accessed by the scammer in anyway.
Cats have 9 lives. We always land on our feet. We will focus on community and content likes we always have.
