Dario Amodei says breakthroughs in robotics could emerge in several ways, such as through continual learning or generalization.

ELON: HANDS' FUNCTIONS ARE EXTREMELY COMPLEX TO REPLICATE IN ROBOTS
"The hand is extremely complex. There are 50 actuators in the hand, with the hand and forearm.
An actuator is the motor, gearbox, and power electronics.
So that’s 100 per robot, really a lot of actuators and sensors. Approximately.
In order to do dexterous tasks, you have to have a hand with the sensitivity, precision, and degrees of freedom of a human hand.
Because something that we find easy to do, like pick up a screwdriver or turn a wrench, or even thread a needle or play the guitar, actually requires a lot of dexterity."
